Is it bath time?

Hi to one and all,

Quick question, my beloved stardust has suddenly started tasting bad, exactly the same as when a mini cart loses its flavour. I get the nic-fix, but it tastes disgusting. Is this a sign that it's nearing the end of its life or do I need to bathe it? I read somewhere about using coke or diet-coke to clean them? This stardust is about 2 weeks old, so is this the problem?

Personally I stand them up in a pan of boiling water and let them simmer for a while but some have reported that their units have distorted
So the next best thing I would suggest without dismantling would be to half fill the stardust with hand hot water, cover the top filling hole and give it all a good shake, repeat a few times and then give it a good blow through to dry the wick as much as you can. Re-fill and vape, the first 10-15 puffs will be a bit rank whilst the water is steamed off. Then you should be good to go

I just rinse mine in hot water under the tap, but had one that started tasting burnt and it didn't help.

Edit because I type slow.

Mine started tasting burnt after I tried drying the water out by vaping it. Now I just leave them upside for a while, then fill them with juice and leave overnight - the first few puffs are a bit insipid, but the juice and remaining water mix ok and they work fine.

Thats what I do as well :-) just half fill them, shake, repeat, dry and away to go.

Dunno what you tried but I usually dry burn, rinse with hot water and dry burn again..

It clears most of the caramalised juice from the wick..

How often should they be rinsed i seem to be doing mine every other day because of the juice caramalising, sorry for hijacking the thread lol

Depends on how much juice you are putting through them..I normally rinse and dry burn after about 5 fills so .

So once in 10 days for me, sometimes two weeks as I use 3 stardusts simultaneously.

Im only using the one stardust with my all day vape in, i have got a couple with other juice in but not using those that much at all, do you let yours go really low ? as i top up when it gets just below halfway. Thanks Macca

Some juices euck up quicker than others, my menthol and ry4 goes euck quick whilst my applewood and raspberry have never been cleaned.
