I fancied trying direct dripping on my Imist but as I don't have an ego type a driptip and I also read you had to take the wick holder out I've come up with a workaround.
A cone I have that came with some ego batteries fits the base but I don't have a drip tip that fits the cone so as a last resort I tried the mouthpiece from a cracked stardust. Almost a fit, just wouldn't quite go in perfect. A patient man would have tried rubbing the metal thread on the mouthpiece down but not me, I stood the cone on a hard surface, put the tip in, held it straight, a few taps with a hammer and its in. It's as good a fit as any other tip/atty combo and does the job. I haven't had to remove a wick holder so can swap from tank to dripping simply by changing cones.

I had a similar experience this evening, bought a 306 from Gordy, first time dripping, I thought std cone not too good, so search my box of toys to see what I could find, but no joy, I even tried a 7.62mm bullet casing, but slightly too big (would look good though), still looking, must be something in the shed!!! to be fair the std case works great, just looks not great.

It works but it's not the best, the mouthpiece is narrow and thicker juices are pooling up in it, even only 2 drops. Methinks I should have cut the piece below the thread off but impatience got the better of me.

A 510 drip tip with a wrap of insulating tape around the bottom will stay inside the top of an ego cone for use with the imist.
Some Stardust tips have a lip inside them, but it can easily be drilled out to, say, 5mm
