Hi there. I've just joined the site. I've been a heavy smoker for years, but now want to try vaping. Having spent the last day reading up on it, I'm now totally confused lol. What I would like, is advice on starting off. From what I've read, battery life is a must. Rather than begin with a cheap one off e-cig, I would like to get a good, reliable kit, that I can modify later once I have got my head around all the jargon, as this seems the way to go from what I've read. Can anyone guide me in the right direction as to the right kit to go for, where to buy it & any other relevant information. It seems Vape Escape is a good buying site. Thanks for your help.......

Hi Chris, I was in your position only a couple of weeks ago but thanks to the people and advice I recieved from many people on this forum, I have been smoke free since my starter kit arrived . I got mine from vapourhut, this one - vapourhut.com/e-cigarette%20kit?product_id=104 then got a couple of these - vapourhut.com/atomisers-cartomisers/vh-star some juice and haven't looked back since. It's a good kit with 900mah batteries and there is a 10% discount code somewhere, I just can't find it at the min.

Hi Chris to the madhouse My view is to get the best out of your experience in vaping............ a decent kit is a must!! I'd recommend a Riva kit........ most of us here started out on one of those, I made the mistake of getting a mini kit at the beginning and found that the battery life wasnt enough so got a Riva. Now for size......... I'd say 1000 is your best bet. Plenty of the suppliers here do stock them and using the discount codes you will get a good deal Try as previously suggested Vapour Hut, or Vape Escape or Freedom Vape all are extremely helpful and do not forget to use a discount code where applicable Enjoy your time on here

Hi and Welcome Chris, This is the thread for suppliers allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=suppliers&thread=2&page=1#2you should have a look through that and you will find all the discount codes there too. I agree that 1000 mAh is a good starting place for the battery. best thing to do is to take a look around the vendors and see what you like the look of, after that post back on here and ask what the good/bad or ugly of your selection is. You will get honest answers and If you dont know something ask, there are loads of good people on here that will tell you So enjoy your time vaping and it is good not to smoke, take it from a heavy long time smoker

Hello & welcome Chris If you go for the one from vapour Hut that frosty has linked to, the discount code is hut10. Or there is the Riva 1100 from vape escape - if you ask at check out for the atomisers to be swapped for cartomisers, you'll get 10 cartos with the kit. Use discount code allabout for 10% off - www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-riva-110....eginners%5D~151

You'll also need some juice. As a smoker (or ex smoker) I still prefer the tobacco flavours rather than weird fruity, puddingy cakey flavours. Vapourhut are excellent on bits, but their standard juice is not the best (although GTFO is rather nice). My daily vapes is RY4 from here (24mg 50/50 PG/VG). I've just got some samplers of American Gold (raved about here) and American Red but haven't tried them yet. They smell nice though. www.vapourjuice.co.uk/

Well, thanks very much for the welcome & replies.....feeling a bit more confident now. I'm looking at the vapour hut kit as a starter. If I go for this, what should I order on top of the kit?. Also it states prefilled or standard cartomisers. Which one should I begin with as I want to start on tobacco flavour & then, if I order a bottle from vapourjuice, what size bottle should I buy?. Is there anything else I need or be aware of to start?.....thanks for all your help. Getting the hang of it now lol.

As a Vaper with over two years vaping under my belt I'd also recommend the VH stars aka Stardust, aka Vision they are great, very easy to fill and easy to see when they need topping up. Sent from my HTC smartphone Predictive text is a piece of shot.

Hi Chris You might as well start with the filled ones - then at least your first vape is kind of plug and play. Once they're finished you can remove the plug at the end and refill them anyway. As for juice, it makes sense to try a few smaller bottles as everyones taste is different and you will have to experiment a bit to find ones you really like. Have a look in here for recommended suppliers and discount codes. And keep an eye on the forum as suppliers do plenty of specials. Vapour Juice seem to do one every week - I've never paid full price. allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=suppliersBut buying bigger bottles is much cheaper, so if you decide to try Vapour Juices RY4 and don't like it I'll buy it off you for what you paid. You can do sales or swaps in the classifieds so anything you don't like probably won't cost you much. Also worth looking in there for people selling stuff they don't like cheap.
