Provari owners - do you use the extension cap?

Looking at the prices for the Provari (purely for research purposes!) I was shocked to see the price of the extension cap to enable use of 18650 batteries. Do people go this route?

i didnt bother with one ...mostly because i prefer the look without the extension ...its a great size without and the 18490 batteries last me the whole day

i got an extension cap for my mini and 2 of the small batts and 2 of the standard size. I got the cap and larger batts as I wasnt sure how long the mini batts would last but they have been fine - usually a day on one charge. Havent therefore used the extension cap or larger batts, all just sitting in the box !

I had the extension cap with mine, I havent got the smaller batteries for it so only use it in extended mode. Lasts ages, I do want to get the smaller batteries, anyone got a link to decent priced good smaller batteries, pretty please

I use the extension now and again but mostly I use it in 18490 mode, partly cos it looks much sleeker a unit and partly cos I always carry spare 18490s about cos that's what I use in the GGTS with the kick. See how you get on with the 18490s, if it lasts you the day then you'll have no need for the extension cap.
I'm quite attached to my provari, the only thing that could improve it would be variable wattage to make it perform like a darwin or a kick. Should they make one then I'll be as close to first on the list as I can get

I use the extension cap on mine at home. I put the standard one back on when I go out though as it fits my jacket pocket better.
