I was browsing last night on here and saw someone with the problem that I had when I first got my 901, the 1st and last ciggie of the day and a higher does at those times helped. I'm going to bear that in mind IF I get the same probelm again.

Well both hubby and I came down with the sore throat that sems to be going around on Sunday ( shivers, hot, cold)
I still went ahead with my Monday date though.

Believe it or not real cigs don't hurt my throat as much as vaping, which I found odd.

Regardless, yesterday I smoked 7 real cigs and today so far 4. The ususual is 20 + a day so i'm happy. I didn't let it worry me when I had one. I made a decision not to beat myself up before I started

You know what I'd really like though......... one of those things you blow in at the smoking clinic to see what your carbon monoxide ? levels are.

Sounds like you're doing really well. What juices have you got? One with a higher VG content should be better for your throat

that'll be the problem then PG gives more throat hit, which is usually handy in the early days of vaping as it seems so much like smoking, not so good with a very sore throat

I ordered some small bottles to try of EASY liquid ( not arrived yet ), just went to have a quick look and they say PG too.

So any advice on the best to go for will be much appreciated Not for sore throat time especially, just in general use.

PG will be fine when your throat heals. I prefered it at first as it resembled smoking more. I prefer a mix now of PG/VG.

Sometimes, when a cartomizer/cartridge is getting on a bit, I get a harsh hit at the back of my throat and that's the time to change the cartomizer/fluval. Also be sure to have the cart nice and moist without overfilling, this will help prevent the nasty, burned taste that sometimes occurs. A 50/50 VG/PG mix is a very good compromise.

I use only the standard resistance Boge cartomizers and there's no mistaking when they're done for - I get a very sore throat. I would guess similar would apply to any clapped out nic delivery system but I'm a novice with anything remotely 'different.' If it tastes nasty, I change to something that doesn't.

Well I'm used to just topping up cartridges when they get dry or washing out the wadding, I never even got around to buying fluval and doing it myself.

I'm trying to take the line of least work as that's what put me off first time around. No mixing my own, no re wicking or whatever I have read about. I'll buy more

Oh and on that thought many eons ago, people used to want dead batteries and atomisers. I don't know if we have moved on from that now bt I do have some dead mini stuff if anybody still wants.

Why don't you start a new thread and ask? There are a few modders on here
