I was just googling for PG suppliers in the Uk and saw that you can get BP grade from vet suppliers for food additives and whatnot. Works out at (£3.41 + £2.50 p&p), £6.41 delivered for 500ml. www.hillcrestanimalhospital.co.uk/store/propylene-glycol-bpAnyone ever used this stuff? Seems like a better deal than buying the overpriced stuff from other places.

This Ebay Seller is used by many of us, there's an obvious typo in their selling price though, I'd imagine they'll correct it on their return from holiday . . . £5.99 + p&p, is also pretty reasonable. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/140608454423?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649And just for general information on PG: Only the pharma grade of these materials can be used for inhalation. All other grades contain contaminants to a varying degree. These carriers are made in four grades: •Pharmaceutical Grade - for human consumption including by inhalation •Food Grade - for human consumption by ingestion •Agricultural Grade - for use in connection with animals •Industrial Grade - for use in machinery, manufacturing and similar purposes All of these grades except Pharma Grade contain contaminants, in increasing amounts as the grade quality reduces. This is the difference in the grades. DO NOT BUY FARM GRADE OR INDUSTRIAL GRADE MATERIALS FOR INHALATION - THEY ARE CONTAMINATED. Even Food Grade should not be inhaled, because the digestive system can handle the contaminants in it that the lungs may not be able to. An example of this kind of difference is the flavoring chemical diacetyl, which has a very strong butter popcorn aroma. It is safe for ingestion (eating) as the digestive system can neutralize it; but it can be fatal when inhaled over a period of time as it causes a degenerative lung disease called 'popcorn lung', Bronchiolitis Obliterans. PG and VG are both sold in pharma grade for inhalation and are labelled: Propylene Glycol, USP (or BP or EU) Glycerine, USP (or BP or EU) PG Only propylene glycol of pharma grade should be inhaled, no other grade is suitable. All other grades contain contaminants.

Having had a look at your link, I dont think it is Pharm grade. It could be safe for consumption but not for inhaling. Sorry but INHO i would say NOT for vaping

At face value, anything with BP on it is British Pharmacopoeia grade and hopefully safe for vaping. However, the BP lists all sort of stuff and if you check the index of PG (I don't have the full current version) you'll see several variants of PG listed - perhaps not all them suitable. www.pharmacopoeia.co.uk/pdf/BP2012_Index.pdfI'll have a look in an old copy later. Wiki has some interesting stuff on it - probably seen here before, but irritations and other side effects are mentioned. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propylene_glycolOddly, I had a strange side effect from some cheapy ejuice from Deal-Extreme - had some red spots on my neck and upper chest which went away as soon as the juice ended. Perhaps that wasn't pure PG (I wouldn't be surprised, tbh, as I suspect some of the no-name stuff is mixed in a bathtub, possibly from dodgy grade gear). Also, last week I had a strange vision problem, like a mild dose of conjunctivitis mentioned therein. It went away after an eyebath or two, but I suspect too high a dosage of PG vapour drifting up to my eyes.

I sent him a message (the ebay seller) because so many people were wondering why the price was so high etc. He was on holiday but kindly took the time to reply to me and he also said he's out of stock on it but will change the price to normal when he gets more in. Hope that helps someone. Although I buy mine elsewhere in bulk lol

How do you know what grade you are purchasing? I would assume most sellers will have a (C of A) with the batch you purchase, and they are happy to send a copy with the order.
