The Cigarrillos Naturales is very smooth and is one my favourite tobacco flavours so far.

Annie, I had a sore throat when I first started vaping, in fact I had heartburn, bloated belly, headaches, the lot

I am in Gazi's camp here and say HS Storm is a brilliant vape, especially for us old GV smokers.

El Toro is what I would call mild and there is a huge amount of people who love it.

If there is a 'harsh scale' out there, El Toro and Storm would be at opposite ends of it, but the next poster could disagree, thats the funny thing about vaping, we all feel so differently about it.

I would go to the Liberty Flights site, and get a selection of 5ml juices, they do them in PG and VG, I know it may cost you a couple of bob but its worth it to see if it helps, ie you could pick him up 5ml samples of Silk Blend, virginia, menthol blend, flue cured and one of the other tobacco flavours, they are all nice, smooth but tasty flavours, get them in a lower nic strength if it helps and get some in the VG, you will have a range then for him to try, even if he is not keen on the 'flavour' of some, you may get a pointer if VG suits him better and if a lower nic strength helps.

Liberty flights is pretty cheap so for 5 x 5ml samples it wont cost much.

I have got some HS Storm, at 24mg, and find it quite smooth. have you tried him on a higher resistance atty? it might help to overcome the initial throat hurt that I got also when I started vaping. I would say that if he was on that much baccy (nearly the same as me) you dont want to go for a low nic content, otherwise it will do nothing for him, just like smoking a silk cut extra light, you put it out and then want a ciggy lol

If you have a vv try turning down the voltage on it, you will get less of a throat hit. does he like coffee? If yes, I can recomend the one from BV it is nice & smooth

If it's a coffee vape you're after it has to be DOPPIO ESPRESS0 CAFFEINATED from VapourJuice. The best coffee taste ever, and it has caffeine
