I once told my doctor - I use nicoine, that comes from a plant. I drink caffiene and tea, they come from plants. I eat chocolate, that comes from a plant. That's 4 of my 5 sorted. He was not impressed  |

Oh and on a serious note , I've noticed I don't need as many supplements when I have a cold so whilst I don't think it counts to your five a day I think it will help your body retain goodies that it needs as opposed to tobacco smoking does anyone have any science bits that prove my point?

Hey Kirsty , kitchen sink science here Hubby has had a stinkin horrid summer head cold for well over a week, he is still smoking I've had a bit of a sore throat for a couple of days, nothing really I think our bodies can retain the goodness from food and supplements more when we are not trying to fight all the nasties in ciggie smoke I hope I'm right as I cerainly don't want a dose of his man flu lurgy thing, but I seem to have avoided it so far |
