ooooo I'll keep that in mind. I have 2 which I dislike, but I get worried in mentioning the suppliers name, cos I don't want to offend as I believe every supplier is doing the best they can and it may only be me disliking it. I'll go and check now Thankyou Most, if not all, of our suppliers are vapers too, so they are well aware of the different tastes we all experience. I don't think any of them would take any offence if someone mentioned that a particular juice was not for them. In fact, I sold a bottle on here recently that the supplier admitted to disliking too, although others have raved about it

I thought I would update you, I'm still vaping on the sample e liquid and my throat is playing up! It feels as though I've smoked 20 beson and hedges in one go, I'm sure it's either the nicotine or PG with me, or it could even be both, but I love the taste so much I can't put it down. I might contact the supplier and ask whats in it and if it is PG or high nic, I'll buy a VG with lower or 0% (I've had 0% and it was ok with me) my throat was sore trying all the 5 ml samples i bought they were 20 mg nic i also had a headache and felt sicky , then i ordered a few 12mg and even an 8 mg these are much kinder on my throat and i havent had a headache so it might be that the nic is too hight for you,ive only been doing it a week so i could be completly wrong but thats how its worked for me.

Nice to know especially if the vendor agrees with the customer

Well I don't know about the cayenne pepper at this early stage - I'll keep trying it because either way it's good for your throat. But what I do know is, yup, nic mg has alot to do with it. Been on the 10mg juice all day and my throat feels fine. Oh, and of course over doing it is a factor, but I'm a newbie so I'm allowed.

I think that it is more likely to be the flavour concentrate that causes any irritation. Propylene glycol is used in asthma inhalers, and is not an irritant for the majority of people, it has undergone many more tests than VG with regards inhalation, hence why it is the preferred method of transport for lung medications. Of course some people have specific sensitivities, but in general pure pharma grade propylene glycol does not cause any throat irritation.
I vape pure PG e liquid all day and have never had any throat irritation, however on the whole I vape flavourless e liquid, so maybe that is what makes the difference, the flavourings in the e liquid.

Myself,I dont get a dry throat, but every so often during the day I get a very thick throat that is difficult to clear and at times can affect my speach. When I do manage to clear what is there it is thick and clear without the nasty colour if you know what I mean.I have been vaping now for 4 months without even the urge for a stinky and thought my problem might be due to the clearing out process after nearly 50 years of smoking rubbish, but would have thought I should be getting clear by now.The thing is when I was a smoker the nasty stuff was so easy to clear from my throat, but what I have now is so difficult to move.I vape mostly PG or 70/30,I have tried the VG but no way can I get on with that,in any case it made no difference. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced the same as myself,or has any ideas as for the reason for it.

I get dry throat and vape PG heavy juices and drink water and it's fine..You could always try a little honey which will coat the throat and may give you some relief if it is particularly bad..
Coughing and a hoarse throat is about par for course during the initial few weeks for many people, I am told.

Kernowman, I'm still early in vaping and my lungs haven't cleared the junk off them yet. But I do have the same as you described at certain times during the day, The back of my throat gets full and I have to keep clearing it and my voice starts to disappear sporadically. I've assumed this was normal early stage lung clearing, it's worrying to hear that this is still happening for you

PG removes moisture so is bound to dry your throat and cause irritation ...as others have said, keep hydrated and you'll soon adjust
