Of course I dont think its something like that because GGTB would work without pushing button. But I try to find something to tell you rag:)
The batch of those atomizers has a problem for sure. Maybe they have an ok wire but a bad silicone to keep apart its center pole from its threads. So dont overtight them either

ok i have switched to the old batch and used the atty for 3 weeks. it is still fine but on its way to dying. i swapped onto the new batch on sunday and it died tonight after i put a new battery. strangely yesterday i noticed a slight burring to the cart, this was a new cart on sunday and was supplied on the atty. as you can see it looks burnt. i used the same cart type on the old batch with no problem. could my problem be not the atty or the GGTB but the carts are wrong for carts for these attys. im now using a different cart on the new batch of attys to try to see if it is the problem. as ive said already nobody else seems to be having major problems with this batch and im not sure if everyone got carts supplied with theres. i bought carts this time but the attys also came with carts on, last time they didnt. i am assuming in many ways that this cant be the problem because the failure rate would be very high for everyone. any comments peeps. raggy......

if cart melts, the plastic may stuck to the wire of the atty and they die. If your atties from the new batch stay alive as the older ones when you put a new shorter cart then this may be an explanation rag

below are some pics of the attys, showing the differences. they means nothing to me but may to some of you. the new batch is on the left in all photos, the right ones are from a previous batch, this is the batch kindly supplied via eastmall from knawes and not the first batch supplied by perpy (i didnt get any 901s on that order), so there around 8 to 9 months old. the ones on the left are the ones dying very after at best just over 1 week at worst a few hours, they do not fade, they just die. the carts ive been using from eastmall are no longer than any others i have but the single vent hole does cut/come in a lot further towards the centre than the twin vent type, i have also just today noticed that with the old batch of attys nearly all other carts were very loose which was why i bought some. however it seems that with the latest batch many of my old carts are a fairly good fit. not that any of that info was of any great use too anyone but i thought i would share it raggy......... i would just like to point out this is not a moan or gripe about the attys, ggtb or the carts. the attys were as cheap as chips and there great till they stop and the ggtb is fantastic, its just bloody aggravating when you know its not the atties ( no one else is having problems) you know the ggtb is working just as it should, i just hope these carts are the problem. raggy...........

I honestly don't know what to say to you Raggy . . . hand on heart, I've had no problems at all with any of the EM LR901's I've bought. Have had 3 seperate batches from them, the first lot I bought before I joined the forum, then the last two lots have been on the orders I've organised . . . none of which have given a problem on the GGTB, or any other mod I've got. I do mainly drip or use the Smart Carts nowdays - but even with the supplied carts, when they've come that way, I haven't had a problem. So sorry, truly I don't know what to say to you . . . but I completely understand your frustration, I'd be the same.

I've also not had any problems with the EM LR901 atties - O am also mainly using drip tips with them though.
However, I have been having almost identical problems with the standard 901's from Greenhouse - I use them @ 5v on my GDPT. I'm thinking you may have hit the nail on the head though Raggy & it is the carts causing a problem. I've just changed to also using a drip tip on my PT & an atty out of the same batch of 901's has lasted about a week so far - massive improvement to the ones I used carts on.

If they came with carts I used those, if they didn't I just found ones that fitted Raggy. Just a thought, but how about asking about this on Eastmall's ECF forum . . . www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/eastmall-ecigarette/Di is very helpful and friendly, plus you'd have the benefit of a large number of buyer experiences with them.

Yes Raggy, I stuffed the blank cart that came attached to them (just to make that clear they where standard 901's from Greenhouse.) They were the "D" shaped carts & they melted in exactly the same place as in your pic.
