Chargers to recomend

The XTAR WP6 sounds good, like the idea of a trickle charge, but too pricey for me. I use an XTAR WP2

Having bought a few cheap chargers, and regretting it, I would say spend a reasonable amount rather than go for the cheapest option.

Hello guys,

I think I've fried one of my 18650's leaving it on over night. Cheap charger / batt setup.

Does buying something like the XTAR just stop them over charging or do they protect the batt when charging?

Yes, it senses when the battery is fully charged and then goes into "trickle mode"

Get a Xtar charger they are fabulous, I feel safe with my batteries in there, unlike the other cheap tat that is about. You can pick one up on Ebay for less than £15 delivered. Just make sure it states it's genuine and the seller is in the UK so you get the proper plug. One's from Hong Kong MAY be fakes.

I don't know, but I am sure that the Xtar will not.

They're supposed to drop into trickle/maintenance mode when fully charged, but some of the cheapy clones that are sold as Trustfires and the like don't actually work right.
