This is a survey that was carried out in Prague. A total of 973 smokers who were seen buying cigarettes from different outlets were surveryed about their experience of e-cigs. onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/j.1360-0443.2012.03916.x/full86% had heard of e-cigs 26% had tried them 7% were using them regularly Of those who had tried them at least once, 43% were disappointed 33% as expected 24% better than expected. So, less than half were disappointed. I know that this was just a snapshot survey, but I think that it provides some quite positive findings. Bear in mind that the survey, by definition, will not include those who are using e-cigs and had stopped buying tobacco altogether. Also, I suspect that many of those who had tried an e-cig would have tried one of the cheaper, entry level types. I think that these are really quite positive results and shows that e-cigs have become much more widespread into European society than many people realise. The tide is turning.
