There is a way of adding a live chat widget attached to a website free with mibbit, but it won't let me post a link.  Anne, I don't think Tim is talking about live chat - just a side table shout box  |

Sorry everyone, I was really tired last night & I got it all wrong I was thinking Tim meant something like the status update box that UKV used to have on their home page. Anne & Boo are right, Tim is talking about a chat room (chat box) that can be added to Proboards. However, we have discussed having a chat room in the past & the majority of us weren't in favour of it. |

Chat boxes are all well and good for live chat, but then there will always be a decrease in forum posts as a result of people using the chat instead.
So the question (to my mind) should always be "Are we willing to see a reduction in content on the forums?"
Just my 2p.

thats been my fear PeeKay... we could get into a really good discussion with loads of helpful stuff in a chat and then it will all disapear and only peeps present at the time would benefit
on the other hand for non vaping related chit chat it could be good
