Peekay, I have tried everything, its when its in the channels that it frays, the wick seems to come apart at the lightest touch!! I know how you feel esme. I've been trying to set up a RTA and have had the same problems with the wick fraying. Once the coil is made, you have to poke the wicks through these tiny little holes. Driving me insane as they never go through as easily as shown in the videos. Tried wetting them as well. I did manage to get it working in the end, but it looked like a right bodge job. I've given up on the RTA and will probably swap it for something else. I hope I get on better with the Penelope. I have no problems at all with the Bulli and Vertigo atomizers.

If nothing works, you can send it to me with some of the wick and coil and an extra stamp. I 'll make up a coil and send it back to you to try.. I am sure you can sell it on for cost price without too much difficulty if it's not for you..I think you will like it and will keep it once you get the hang of it.. As Macca says Esme, if it doesn't work out, I'm sure you won't lose out on it.

Have you tried wrapping the very ends of the wick in sellotape Steve. An old electricians trick, but it works.

Steve, wet the wick before you try to thread it through the holes, it's much more manageable. OR, thread the wick through the holes before you make the connections at the terminal. I love the RTA, it's a great mod

Funnily enough we will be stopping the free drip tips soon, because we have received too many emails asking us to stop sending them ??? Why would people be complaining about being sent free drip tips? What strange folk you have to deal with!

I was thinking about setting up opposite Dunlop in the small O-Ring market.

The trouble with the RTA is that there would not be any way to remove the sellotape afterwards and it would be sat in e-liquid all the time. I guess I could use a small bit of oxidised ss mesh instead of sellotape to wrap around the ends.

I love the RTA, it's a great mod I did try wetting it. Didn't think to thread the wicks before attaching the coil to the terminals, good idea thanks. Would give a bit more room to manoeuvre.

No need to oxidise the mesh...Just wrap a small piece of mesh like the imist has on both ends and feed it through..

No need to oxidise the mesh...Just wrap a small piece of mesh like the imist has on both ends and feed it through.. Both the metal terminal posts run through the center of the tank on the RTA macca, oxidising would be sensible
