I got the rok star kit the other day and was reasonably happy with it, though the taste was a bit muted, but a few days in, something's not right, if I use my 650 maH battery, the taste is fine, not great, but passable, but but the same tank on the 1000maH batt, and whatever I'm vaping tastes burnt and bitter, with a lot of popping and sizzling from the atomiser as well. I I've tried dripping with a gutted 510 cart, and it's great.I don't know whether it's me, the battery or the atomiser at fault. I've kept the tank and atty cleaned, even tried a dry burn, but can't get either of the coils to go red( 2 tanks) . Anybody out there who can advise me on it?

Mmm, just had a poke about on ECR and the too hot attys thing seems to be a regular thing, I'll get in touch with them I think, and see what happens

It was his site that tipped me into getting it in the first place

Mmmmm , gave the attys a coke bath last night, one was pretty clean, but the other was coked up, which is odd, I've been rotating them , took Shaun's advice on cleaning the coil with a pin, fiddled the coil straight cos it was a bit scrunched up and it's better as long as I keep doing a couple of draws without pressing the button every so often, but it's still not right

Jamila, when the Rok Star first came out, lots of folks (especially on UKV) thought it was the bees knees. Most folks on here waited a while for follow ups to initial reviews - they weren't too hot to say the least

I think I'm going to scrap the atties and try something different like visions or the kanger bottom coil one- not sure about a tank just yet, I'm mulling over going after a provari mini when the purple ones land . I've not got any sort of attachment to this thing, good thing is that it's got ego type batteries so they'll last me for a while and fit plenty of stuff

Jamila, I'm not sure if the Rok Star has a 510 thread or not?

Yep, it does have a 510 thread, I've had gutted nicolites carts on it for dripping, it has an inner 510 and an outer as well, which I presume is an 8 something ???
