.......was just wondering as it seems to be the same people at the same silly hours in the morning. Me, well apart from preparing for the following days vaping, a trip to hospital and waiting for someone to wake up for an 8oz bottle - erm, I'm reading this forum. Anyone doing anything a little more interesting? Oh, and I'm still vaping Karoffee-Kick

Yes I'm one of the ones often around at this time, it's because I work nights at weekends ,its a new job and I'm still waiting for my body to adjust. I generally just stalk the forum and am having "one more vape" and catching up on TV I've recorded. The dog isn't happy though, he's giving me the "let's go to bed" grumbles I assume you have a young baby?

Yes, well no, he's 1, but for some reason still wakes at night, last night it was teething, but no sign of him just yet Our eldest is 3, thankfully does sleep through. We took it upon ourselves to work from home after we moved a few years ago, and well it is now children and house most of the day, and cram everything else at night, through to silly hours of the morning. Also my tablets and arthritis tends to play havoc at this time, far better being away, and surprisingly the morphine based tablets I take don't make me sleepy So I assume this is your weekend off? Since it is night and you're not working? Your poor dog will end up nocturnal lol Midnight walkies edit: can't smell again

I only work Friday and Saturday nights but it makes it difficult to go back to normal sleeping on Sundays. My dog stays with my friend when I work, so I just got him back today Sorry about your arthritis, morphine never worked for me after i had it after surgery either, wasnt high, wasn't happy and wasn't sleepy. Some people don't seem to respond to opioids like that

...don't like the surgery word....still hope you're all better. Yes tablets seem to have a very minimal effect these days Vaping sort of works though Our eldest was asked what he wanted for his birthday, he said "a dog please" no idea where that came from, but we're looking after one in a couple of weeks whilst they go on holiday, so he'll have to make do till he's a wee bit older well it's now 2:18am

I'm still here ... but about to log off. No other reasons, except I've always been an owl.

Sleep is for losers! lol j/k. I'm usually up gaming and waiting for my shift to start at half 5 in the morning which is lovely. I tend to go a long time without sleeping then sleep for a really long time so it kinda balances out in a weird way

I'm usually up until 2 ish, longer if I've had tramadol, don't know why I bother , but sometimes it does actually work without sending me hyped For those with the opiate meds, I got suckered into a chronic pain clinic earlier this year, about the only valuable thing I took away is that morphine based meds only work properly for about 5% of people, combination paracetamol and ibuprofen works much better for most people, and you don't keep having to take more and more to get relief.

Bloody hell, be careful on those Tramadol. They are seriously addictive.
I have the same thing with opiates - they act like speed on me, which is why I would take them - Tramadol or solpadol after a night shift and I'd be up all day writing short stories instead of sleeping. Haven't touched anything like that in over six months and I feel miles better (they lowered my immune system and caused depression and were just so moreish).
I feel sorry for people who actually need them for pain...but yes, lately I just have ibuprofen or naproxen when I pull muscles in my neck, much safer for pain.
I hope you all slept well! I am getting two new kittens tomorrow, so I doubt I'll be sleeping so well for a while.

I'm supposed to take tramadol 4 times a day, not bloody likely . TBH, opiates really are pointless for most people, all the studies say that for chronic pain they're less useful than placebos, but GP's keep prescribing them, even though there are loads of newer safer, more effective things out there. I have the triple whammy of EDS type 3, fibromyalgia and the joint damage caused by years of dislocations, so technically should be on a cocktail of stuff, I'd rather have a bit of pain to tell me when something's going to pop than be like a zombie with adhd.
