Glad it worked out for you It's one of the oldest mods for a CE2 that's been around since they came out. I didn't come up with it. Why I still use them over anything else is because they hold a lot of liquid and can actually wick vg with a very simple mod. Nothing else tank style ever wicked my vg for me When they first came out, there was a huge bad press about them for not wicking well. Over on ECF, it's still a mostly hated product and was high on the list of worst products of the year last year, just because it "doesn't work out of the box". G4 clearomisers were undoubtedly the worst that year as they flat out didn't work but so many people voted for CE2's just because you need a little effort to get it working optimally. To me it's a no brainer though: 1 minute to cut the seal and put it back in then it's up and running fuss free for well over a month with vg! They work so well with great flavour and because they're top coil it's a hotter vape without having to go low resistance. Can't ask for more and it's a bit of a shame so many people never got to see it because they wouldn't cut the seal slot a little wider

Well, i'm so happy it's worked as I got a friend of mine to buy some too another question, is it normal for it to gargle as you inhale also do you know if the taste get's muted? Hang on your going to laugh, but I only just realised (I get so confused with the names too many ce's this and v's that lol) but, I think mine is a CE4 V2 OMG don't tell me I shouldn't have snipped at it lol but, the burnt taste has gone! I googled CE2 (when you said CE2 I got in confused with v2) gawd, my brain needs to start taking these names in, but anyhow have you experienced a very bad taste on CE4 V2's? btw I googled the CE2 are tey those long skinny cartomisers?

If you have snipped off a V in the silicone cap of the CE4 V2 a.k.a ego vision clearo then your center tube will flood and cause gurgling..
You will also find a large amount of e-liquid in the battery connector and it will leak..If you get a burnt taste with these devices, you must dry burn the wick clean and keep the wicks wet when you vape..

Dream you don't need to dry burn a brand new one, dry burning is for getting rid of excess liquid when you're cleaning them and/or changing juice flavours.... IMO this thread got way over complicated, all you need to do is keep wicks wet whilst you are vaping, tip the cig up, let some liquid over the wicks, carry on vaping. Also dont let the liquid level get too low..This has to be done with any clearomiser or vivi nova type tank otherwise you get dry hits...quite honestly, I don't know why you didn't have dry hits before this. That was all your original problem was, lack of swooshing

Ellen, I don't understand my self, I bought the Riva with the cleoromiser and it works brilliantly, no bad taste and hubby sometimes lets it go really low before he refills, I then bought myself a CE4 V3 and again no problems, then I thought I would stock up with the CE4 V2's as I prefer them and these (two new ones which I've tried) have given me a burnt taste, I have another two and haven't got the foggiest what to do as the 2 which I have tried are soaked with liquid and after alot of swooshing what ever I do it's burnt. I even took the plastic cap off off the secomd one and made sure the wick was soaked inside and out, why I'm getting a little frustrated ???

Just use the other two new ones..No need to dry burn new ones..Dry burning is to be rid of the caramalised gunk which builds up in the wick mainly under the coil area and that can cause poor wicking leading to burnt taste..This build up only happens after a week or so of normal use..
If you have one that is giving you a burnt taste constantly, then it's probably because the coil may be wound too tight around the wick..If cutting a V has helped with wicking, just use it if the gurgling is bearable..Not all of them are manufactured to exactly very high or consistent standards..You can also rewick/recoil it if you want to get your hubby to do it or just bin it and use the new ones.
