I use the stretchy bandage stuff elastoplast that's it (well padded) and a gentle wiggle till it gives then you can re-form it if you bend it No leaks so far
would love to find some o-rings/sealant for the drip tips or replacement drip tips if anyone knows

Couple of thick rubber bands around the jaws of a pipe wrench/pliers..Grab the base with the wrench/pliers and wiggle and twist the stardust body to remove from the base..
Do not use the pliers to do the wiggling..Just to hold..If it slips then grab again and increase the pressure slightly.
But some of these things have adhesive at the bottom so the risk of breaking is always there when taking apart for the first time..

Also forgot..Push the innards in first with a suitable piece of pipe like an old carto tube after removing the mouthpiece..

I took mine apart today (ok yesterday, just looked at the time lol) It was quite tuff,I did it with pipe wrench pliers as Macca said,I was going to replace the wick but in the end though I will just give it a good clean, make a new drip tip and give it another air hole at the bottom,it seemed silly going to to much bother when the latest version only costs this www.safercigs.co.uk/Vision_eGo/cat705284_1372126.aspx and has replaceable atomizer heads....then again where's the fun in that, havent done a wick before and I can only break it

Some of the revisions have a longer poly skirt under the bottom ring (or as macca has pointed out, theyre glued) which means they`ll more than likely crack when you ease off the ring.

agree azzie....once coil is wrapped tastes few more seconds to replace than i imagine to screw plus you got added benefit of being able to put ss meshin there which really loosened the draw on mine
how well does this ambroid stuf work...does it just sealed it or does it properly get rid of all traces of the cracks?

I used tried a plasticweld very similar to Ambroid which contains the same chemicals..It does not work very well..The stresses are too great and it sorta creates smears..
It's ok to use on very small cracks but that's about it..

I only paid £2.99 each from vapeescape for mine. What is the purpose of dismantling them? I have successfully cleaned mine out by flushing with hot water without dismantling them.

If I am seeing the videos right on you tube, its only one piece of wire to make the coil, which wire to buy I'am not sure guys
Edit any links to stuff you guys have put in would be a help...thanks in advance
Yes Lewis that's all I normally do with mine, clean out and dry burn, but I'am not happy with the draw, the muted taste, the fact it has wicks that only work when its at least half full or you are tipping it up all the time.
I like the concept, think its smart on the end of am ego,but needs playing with, copied that other chap on here that used and old cart to re style the drip tip, will get it in the workshop tomorrow and put a small air hole in it,to make it draw better.
Didn't buy the latest version as safercigs web site is up the bonk at the moment, but will get one and see how much of an improvement they are.

I've noticed this too. I think next time I buy clearos I'll try the long wick variety, which I suspect will still work when less full.
