Jason it was mentioned that Boge cartos work well with a Provari, are these the ones? And also is there a better filling thing to help? So many questions

Yes, these are the Boge Carto's Andy. You only need to use the standard resistance ones on the Provari (no need for low resistance because of the variable voltage). If you've seen the video for the Griz Whiz that Curtis took you will have seen how easy it is to empty a carto - well I also use it for filling them. I just add around 6 drops around the edge into the filler (not down centre tube), stick the condom on the battery end (leaving a gap to collect juice) and then spin the Whiz slowly 6-8 times. This pushes the juice right down through the carto and if you repeat this 4-5 times and you will get a couple of drops coming out of the battery end into the condom - the carto is now packed full. You can also fill them using the straightforward condom method or simply by dripping a few drops at a time into the filler and letting them soak in or even by syringe if you prefer. The secret with any carto is to get the first fill right. Thereafter, you are just topping up now and then as the flavour/vapour diminishes.

Will give them a try thanks Jase Question though...why should the first fill be right? Surely when it's empty it's still a fill? Am I not getting something? Sorry to sound stupid Edited this to try and say it better..if the first fill is important, when it's empty why isn't it just as important on the second? And why not fill it the same as the first? Does this make it worse

Yes, that makes sense Andy.
The reason the first fill is important is that you need to get the wicking action going.
Think of it as a sponge. If you fill a sponge with water gradually, it will only start to seep out when the sponge is fully filled and thereafter you will get a constant flow of liquid from the sponge as you add more.
If a Carto isn't fully filled and dry spots or pockets are left, the wicking action is interupted.
That's why carto's are more responsive to thinner (PG heavy) mixes, because they soak in well. Whereas thicker (VG) heavy mixes need forcing through the filler sometimes.
Once you've got a good fill, I find there is no need to do anything other than add a few drops every now and then to keep the carto wet.
Hope that explains it a bit better.

I'd also thought as well Jason, that if you don't get the first fill right, then you run the risk of burning the filler . . . which is then well nigh impossible to get rid of the burnt taste.
As a rule, any new carto's I tend to leave for a good 30mins if not longer before using after filling.

That's very true Perpy. Once the filler in a carto is burnt you will not get rid of the taste so always fill them well and keep them wet. I've only ever known people have problems with very heavy VG juices, which can make the carto appear full, but leave air pockets where it's not soaked through. If anyone is ever buying both cartos and liquid from me at the same time, I have no problems in doing the first fill for you, if you add a note in the comments box at checkout

It's worth getting a clear cartomizer just to see how they fill. I used to just fill my Boge ones by dripping into the top. I tried this on a clear one and only then realised that there were several dry spots that you don't notice on the black / silver ones.
I normally stick with the condom method now.

That's a really good point Steve, I'd never got on with carto's until trying the clear ones, for that very reason.

Spinning the Whiz slowly also alerts your cat/dog to the action.
Their chase instincts are activated.......
(Any sensible person would resort to dripping at this stage)
And when you Whiz really fast, the fun really starts!!
I have yet to find the carto that flew out of the Whiz when Daisy made a lunge for it, and Mungo took a glancing blow to his nose which caused him to sneeze several times.
