Forgive my ignorance, what is the throat hit? Harshness on the throat, kinda like comparing the feeling on the throat from a low tar a silk cut cigarette to a cigar the more PG you have the harsher the vape. Thanks again.

More VG = More clouds More PG = More throat hit Some people claim PG carries flavours better but in my experience if it's true it's negligible i don't notice any real difference in terms of flavour potency. Which iStick do you have it would help with recommending a tank to know the output limits of the device. Forgive my ignorance, what is the throat hit?

Ive just had a look at a calculator. Am i right in thinking that where it says for example 4ml flavour if i decide to use a couple of different flavours just make sure the total amount is 4ml? ie 2ml of one and 2ml of another.

Hi Stomper and ... For subohm vaping I mix at 70-80% VG. The only way that I know to increase flavour intensity is to up my flavour concentrate percentage ... for example most folks mix Capella one-shot concentrate at 15% but I would use 20 - 25% as I like my flavour strong (my taste buds are shot after 40 years smoking). Hi Yinyang , thanks for the reply . Can you clarify subohm for me , my head is about to explode with all the info, but appreciate the help lol.

Am i right in thinking some mixtures will be too thick for this type of coil?

Hey guys n girls.
Mark from Falkirk here.
Been vaping for a couple of months now and just about to start mixing my own flavours .
I just need to get a couple of things clear in my head though . I currently use the iStick with kangertech k1 and k2 atomisers . I have been buying 50/50 flavours and am aware if i want bigger clouds i need to change that ratio. Can someone clarify how these ratios apply, ie more VG for ????? more PG for ????? . Am i correct in thinking if i want more intense flavours i need to use more VG?
Should i consider adding a flavour enhancer or sweetener to my order?
I dont want to walk around with a massive rig in my hand as i like the size of the one i use but would consider a bigger atomiser if it gave me a better smoke. I dont have time , patience or eyesight to make my own coils so what would be the best upgrade for me?
If i can get all the info i need here in one place i will be able to refer back to this as i spent all day yesterday going round in circles with so much info.
Thanks very much in advance

As pacman says the higher strength nicotine you use the less you use and since nicotine is the most expensive item using less is a good thing. For example, if you wanted make 100ml of 6mg juice then with 72mg you would use: 6 / 72 x 100 = 8.33ml But with 50mg you'll use: 6 / 50 * 100 = 12ml Thanks BeOne . Looking at the prices the 72mg is about 50% dearer and the ratios for mixing about 50% more for the lower strength . Probably now just comes down to budget at time of buying.

Thanks Pancser i'll give it a look , I do like the idea of being able to adjust my ratios now and again for better clouds etc but a bottle of this would be handy for lazy days.

Generally I always get 72mg nicotine then when you start mixing the eliquid calculator will ask you what strength nicotine you are using and what strength you are aiming for.72 mg generally works out to be a better buy as you use less to get to your desired nic strength.Hope this helps so whatever you buy the calculator will let you know how much to add I see, I've never made it to the calculator yet . Makes sense now. Thanks for the speedy reply pacman. Can get my order in and wait patiently now.

Great post for myself who is just about to order my first lot of mixing ingredients . I am stuck at the nicotine bit though so wondered if anyone could give me a quick answer so i can get my order off. When i went to add nicotine the options were strength 50mg and 72mg, how do you decide which strength? I haven't come across a mixing tutorial or , post where it says what strength your nicotine is , only seen ratios . Am i even making sense? Thanks in advance.
