I just measured the one from mine and it a 11.5mm long. If it looks like an actual pin (as in a bit cut off one) then it is more than likely the drift, if it is rough, and is bent then it will be a bit of swarf. either way no worries, it is out which is a good thing

As a note, the drift pin looks like I thick needle that is flat at one end & has a slanted cut face on the other.

It shouldn't effect your LT at all. It's lucky it fell out rather than causing a short. You should not even notice it is missing cos its all in quite tight anyway. A drift pin is simply put a wedge. When you have a tube going inside another tube and you don't want the one inside to turn, you make a small groove on the inside of the larger tube & on the outside of the inner tube. You then put a pin into those grooves that locks them together to stop the inner one turning. I did think when I took my LT apart that a drift pin was excessive. But it might of been for the manufacturing process rather than anything else. If you put your battery back in & give it a test fire, also up & down the voltage, you should see its all working fine

The back and forths of how this thread has gone is a bit worrying in that the UK which used to be a fair place to be, is turning into a place full of ambulance chasers and quick buck merchants. If and when I do complete a mod that I would be wanting to sell, I think I would only pass it on to someone that I would be able to trust not to missuse it and if there was any problem to get in touch with me to sort it out rather then calling in the money makers. Though saying all of that, I would not make something that could potentially harm someone through normal use. Lets face it Mag lights are torches, but how many security guards would use them like a club if they wanted to.
The thought about the safety and comeback all started in my head when I saw a box mod on here for sale, which made me shudder on how it was put together. It was nothing more than a battery in a wonden box with a switch on it. all held in place with glue. I personally would not of used that for myself let alone of tried to pass it on to another. Ill of my systems use the circuitary out of existing known devices but with added safety features. I do believe that if I was to sell something that I had made I would be able to put my hand on heart and say it was as safe as it could be.

Thankyou again for your replies. So bottom line if you dont care what it looks like and it does not make any difference how much you smoke, out of all the e cigs go for the riva. SJ Or the eGo which is basically a higher powered Riva, It will last you a good day depending on how much you use it. and it is also better than the Riva at taking a lower resistance attomiser for that hotter harder throat hit. which is something to experiment with later on Edit. I forgot to say, If your going down the Riva/eGo route have a look at this post allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=classified&action=display&thread=7636&page=1

Yeah but then what's the point? When the LT looks like a vibrator and the ego's at worst look like a "smack pipe" at best look like an elegant cigarette (just going by what people have said to me) Do you get them mixed up then lol
