Vape, breath, vape, breath, feel the calmness washing over your body lol
I know what you mean, I had one that just did not make sense as there was a live where there3 should not of been. what had happened was that the old fuses had blown so many times with such force that it had coated the back of the fuse holder and was giving a connection even when the fuse was not in. that was 3 days of going up and down the cable looking for a cross over from another circuit untill i decided to pull the cable out of the CU and it was then that I realised what was going on.
I have some brand new 2.5mm cable to replace it with and it will now have an earth.
I remember when I took the old light fitting down that the earth did not go anywhere from the brass fitting. How about this for bad, When I moved in there was a multi gangs extention socket sticking up through the floorboards that was connected into this circuit. That is kind of how I knew which socket to go to as I had dont the other ones lol

I took a guess at which socket to look behind and there it wa all black and burnt. I don't think this part of the house has been rewired at all, like I said it is the old rubber type of cable, here is the scary thing, I have no idea where the earth is coming from at that socket, I basically lookst like the cable goes from the fuse box (twin) to the first socket, where by a miricle an earth line has appeard, from there it goes to the next socket, in a diagnal ocross the room, and from there to another socket which is traveling back in the direction of the fuse box. this means that there are 3 sets of double sockets in a chain and a dubious earth. I know that they are only used lightly by me, but that really is not good, so when I am replacing the old cable I am going to see if I can get it so that it will be a proper ring. Will also replace the fuse with a trip for extra peace of mind.
The day keeps getting better.
Edit, I have removed the fuse from the circuit so at least nothing can happen now.

you right there it'll get it a bit hot under the collar and might stop working, you will need to confirm that with Macca though he is the master with the Riva's (and a lot of other things but dont tell him I said so lol)
If you got the VV one you would be able to play a bit with the settings, it also has a handy charge guage so you have a better ires of when your running out of power

Well that is what I thought Macca, but in the link the pictures are not of the same device and one of them has two holes at the bottom and one half way up. also those bottom holes look to be a bit high to be sucking in the juice.

so how do they work without a wick to get the right amount of juice to the coil? Oh by the way John, the battery with the sticky switch seems to have loosened up a bit.
