OK............I have to say it..........Those 1st 3 venues in Soho were a nightmare..........I was ready to head back home in all honesty.....Far too crowded...Impossible to talk or get a drink, let alone food & nowhere to sit & any pub is going to be like that in that area on a saturday night, particularly if the next one is on a bank holiday. Unfortunately, for health reasons, both physically & mentally, I couldn't handle a venue like that for a whole evening. Bearing that in mind, providing it's near a train station of any description, it doesn't matter to me where it is......Sorry, but it needed to be said. I agree Chris,what made it worse was having gone up there two weeks in a row,the first one trudging around in pouring rain,but wont be making that mistake again,I think we have two things that always need to be put first,that is the numbers we seem to attract is much higher than initially I would have expected and that we need to cater for everyone.young,old,disabled or with any difficulties,also we are covering a large area,will get there though,again thanks for everyone that has made this possible and hopefully we can look back on this with a smile. |

Ha ha I laugh now but when I went home Saturday,I left at 11 got to Oxford circus station,jumped on the bakerloo line,there is an overground train at 23.36pm and 00.06am to catch at Queens park,so at 23.36 the bakerloo train pulls into the station,loads of us walk across to the overground train which is stood there with its doors shut then after a few seconds it just pulls away,leaving us all staring at each other with a half hour wait for the last train of the night

I will see in Atif can do a function room or whatever there called,might be good for a birthday,only going to allow up to 3 weeks before the event,so I don't end up all last minute again,we do of course have 4 places we have used and another 2 we can,so if he doesn't come through quick enough,I will just use one of them.

Ha ha this thread is still going well,just catching up,have been out on the dating scene and its going so so  , seeing another girl Thursday Chris is right his masterpiece got lost in the mix after all his effort ,but I must say thanks for doing that and Ash for bringing prizes as well,I enjoyed some of the samples I tried,glad you lot reminded me what they were,I will be pushing to get the next one up and thread started very soon,were looking at around May the 4th,people let me know if any of you have a problem with that date,I will PM Blakey and see how his shifts are at work,thanks again everyone for putting up with the mass confusion,I will be working hard to have a venue much earlier this time,if just for the state of my stress levels |

What a great night! It was lovely to see some familiar faces from last time and to meet some new folk. Kudos to Alan and Elfish for managing to find us a venue after the Green Man debacle. Soho on a Saturday night is always going to be difficult so well done!! I think the only way we will get a venue that a) guarantees us vaping rights, b) enables us to mix and mingle properly and c) serves food is to find a function room but that will add to the cost. Dolly sorry to hear about Queenie's ticket  A true Soho induction for her. Funny enough a function room is something we are looking into,but I do love a traditional pub,just a pity the first one went t**s up as,starting early gives you the opportunity to take over an area,UKecigstore have promised to work more along side me from day 1,Ideally I want something at least 3 weeks before we go there,which gives more time to promote it properly and people to make arrangements,ginger let me know what dates are bad for you and I will also be talking to Blakey due to his shifts and try to get it so everyone can be included |

Well everything else aside it was a good night,I like to sit back now and think of it as a journey many like minded people shared together,Its always great to make new friends and meet those you met before,everyone was great tonight and maybe a bit of what happened earlier in the day/evening just made us stronger as a group,as usual I am not going to single out anyone any more than another because you were all fantastic out there guys,we have proved there is a big place for us in the South East and nothing can stop us.
Cheers to everyone concerned with this meet and as long as you still want me too,I will start working on the next one almost straight away.

newukvaper84 please believe me when I say if something I organize doesn't go right I take it very personally and work hard to make sure it doesn't happen again,I apologise if you got lost somewhere,we made an all out effort to,keep the group together,but after two moves and people heading in every direction it was hard to keep it together,I waited at both the first two pubs,so I can only presume you got left behind somewhere after that and believe me I'm gutted for you,especially as it was an expensive night for you and a night you don't get to often.
We are in our infancy,we cobbled together what was left of of a dying thread,by a member that left it after starting it,it was never going to be easy to to get together places that would accept us,be in good travelling distance for everyone in the South East etc etc.
Anyway this post is about you bud,please try and calm down,feel free to inbox me any time and I am sure I can make this up to you and that we can move forward,past mistakes behind us and you are always welcome.
