I've noticed that some of you have been vaping for a few years now. My curiosity is getting the better of me, so I started this thread.
I'm curious to know, how did you, when did you become aware of vaping? realistically speaking I'm baffled why I only found out 4 weeks ago and that's only because, it popped up on the side of my screen while on my laptop.
Would you like to share as to when, why and how?

I gave up waiting on the ebay guy and sourced some PG from a vet supplies place, its BP grade not AG or tech grade. Would that be the one you posted in another thread a few days ago?

As for the Glycerin, they do not have it in stock apparently (so I was told) they have a problem with the supplier

OMG!!!!! Anne I'm going to SCREAM!!!!!! It's been over a week I've been waiting for him to sort out the price of his PG and he never done so (I checked this morning too) and after all the hassle I had today of going to boots to order some and now his ebay site is up and running with the correct price. Should I laugh or cry Thank you for informing me How long does it take for delivery when you order?

I'm sitting here vaping away on the e liquid mixture I made and cos, it's only a Glycerine mixture it's like I'm sitting in a sauna with all the vaping Taste nice though, hopefully better tomorrow Once I get the Pg from boots, I'll mix a little of that and hopefully it will calm it down a wee bit.

The other difference is that the Ego has circuitry that regulates (tries to maintain) the voltage at 3.5 (ish) volts as the battery discharges. The Riva does not have a regulator, this means the voltage starts at 4.2 volts then gradually goes down as the battery gets used to a minimum of about 3.2 volts. However this circuitry has a maximum amount of current (flow) which it can handle without burning out, which is lower than the Riva. I prefer the Riva as you get a good "punchy" vape when the batteries are fully charged, if it drops below what I find acceptable then I just recharge it. If you're confused about volts think of this as water pressure and current is akin to flow, you could have a tank (battery) with a 1 inch diameter tap used to fill a bucket. When the tank is full the pressure (voltage) is high but it will still take longer to fill that bucket than a 3 inch diameter tap as the 3 inch tap can give more flow (current or amps in electruicity). I have babbled on about this I hope it is of some help. No you haven't babbled on at all Des, this info is brill, being a newbie this is what I and others need. Anything anyone explains/advises is a great help to understand how these machines function. I didn't have a clue about what you have explained. Fantastic info Thank you

Fill me in on the missing details here. What is the difference between the Riva and the eGo? I see that the Riva's come in many different colours and they have a 3 click on/off where as the eGo's come in black or silver and have a 5 click on/off apart from that what is the difference between them? Edit ok the puffin eGo's come in different colours (thanks Fagin lol ) As with most things vaping, there's originals and clones. Joytec eGo was the original of this type of battery. Everything else (including the Riva) is a clone. It doesn't necessarily make them bad, just variations on a theme. And yes, apparently the Riva has thinner wirs, but only a potential problem if you go below 2.o ohms Very interesting! I'm learning day by day (I think) So, ego is the original. Regarding the wire, does this mean the ego can handle a lower ohms?
