A few days ago i came on here and got some great advice on what starter kit would be best for myself.I was pointed to the Riva 1100 kit from vape escape,I was already to place my order but knew i had to visit family for a couple of days so knew i wouldnt be there for the postie to get delivery,Then thought id do it when i got back (bad move),And just my luck i get home today and next to the riva says out of stock delivery due 2wks I had my mind set on that one too..So back trawling through allsorts of different e-cigs and what i wanted to ask is should i wait and smoke until the riva`s are back in stock or go for a different one? such as this? ... and if yes to that should i buy the cartomiser`s? Thanks.

If you feel comfortable with your set up, you dont have to upgrade, all you have to do is replace when they come to the end of their life............... you may however at some time decide that you want something different such as an Lava Tube which you can change the voltage on or a mod......... its entirely up to you. some people find that they are happy with the riva and stick with that............ others want something that gives a bit more oomph!! lava tube, voltage, mod....whoa maybe get into this after i try the Riva for a bit lol yeah like a bit of oomph in my smokes lol

belated welcome As has been said the riva is a lovely bit of kit and you cant go wrong with it. Bet you never thought that vaping could be so interesting I love trying out new flavors and pick & mix is a good way to start.......... once you start, you wont want to stop! lol have fun Hi and thanks esmecullen,"interesting" lol yeah its looking that way with all these flavors,if i get off the cigs completely i think ill be pestering the rest of the family to get onto this its gotta be better than the 4000+ chemicals that are in cigarette's.

Welcome to the forums tmax. I'm a newbie to the forums as well and the people here have been great thus far. A real great community and a wealth of knowledge for when those 'sooooo confused' moments rear their ugly heads. I've had my 'next step up' kit for about a week now and like others have found the transition away from the smokes relatively easy. This isn't the case for everyone, however, so when you do get going don't put too much pressure on yourself to cut out completely. It should happen naturally I also went for the pick n' mix as my first eliquid foray and can thoroughly reccommend it as a starting point. I'm getting ready to place another order for liquid tomorrow. Anyway, best of luck! - commonsense Hi and thanks commonsense,I really think this is the thing to help me all this nicotine replacement patches gum etc were rubbish, when i tried the disposable ecig i never touched a fag,was really surprised at that...but whats with `next step up`? can you not stick to one or do you always have to upgrade the e-cig??

Hi tmax and welcome to the forum. I think we can all probably empathise with what you're going through. My very first post was headed "soooooooo confused" but the good folks here soon had me on the right road. To braek down your choices amongst all the kits you've looke at, consider the following questions. 1) does it have to look like a ciggy? 2) how and when will you use it... in other words at home, at work, out and about, at the pub etc 3) which is more important to you, battery life or the look of it? 4) how many fags are you smoking now? If we can get a feel for some of these we can help you narrow down your choices Hi and thanks onedayillquit to answer your questions 1) does it have to look like a ciggy? (No just the feeling of smoking) 2) how and when will you use it... in other words at home, at work, out and about, at the pub etc (would be home and out and about) 3) which is more important to you, battery life or the look of it? (defo batt life) 4) how many fags are you smoking now? (about 15-20 a day) "soooooooo confused" yip thats where i am lol
