Kickit, although your point is somewhat valid re what other ca's have we joined, how many forums are people on for items they own? E cigarettes are a new invention and therefore different to other products. There is a need for ECCA and I think people need to start being more supportive. Ok lots of people have been let down by them in the past, but maybe it's time to let bygones be bygones and do whatever we can to protect this joint hobby of ours?

All that said, ECCA need to become more proactive and more member friendly or there is no point in joining.

Yes oneday flattops! Now unsure whether the charger I was sent did the damage, or whether it was just a duff battery. Have promised the charger that came with it to someone, but might end up keeping it and sending said person something different to make up for it but have to say feel really guilty about doing that!!!

I think two things need to happen here:
1 the committee needs to push itself forward, take time to contact people, discuss what's going on, reply to people who join etc and if they have no time maybe step down and let fresh blood take their places
2 e cig consumers need to show more support, get behind them, offer help if we have the time or support them as and when they post on forums etc.

I think the main thing they need is discussion on from both sides, guidance on what we want them to do for us and discussion and action on achieving that.

I also think the website needs a total overhaul to make it more welcoming to visitors.

I was also in chat tonight, but have just realised I still don't know exactly who they are or what they're supposed to do. They need to bring themselves forward, to be a lot more proactive.

Brian, I understood it from chat that there were more than two people but only two of them were well known.

Should add that it's a vendor who posts on here so I thought he was slightly known. However I e mailed him a query when I received the lt and there was no reply, so if I have to message him re this I hope he does! (Not blaming the forum at all just pointing out I didn't go to an unknown in Portugal just to get cheap product)

Had it just over a week so not impressed!!! I changed battery today to one that had been on charge overnight. The lcd screen came on and @ got a couple of weak puffs from it. Then nothing and screen wouldn't come on. I must not have charged battery thought I, so I put them both on charge tonight. ONe said red and charging, other immediately went green!

Is this likely to be lt or the battery and can I do anything about it? ALso on the end cap the black plastic bit keeps dropping off leaving the metal exposed. Could this be the problem and if so will a bit of superglue be ok to use?
