19th ok with me Suppose Central London makes more sense. Those going back Essex way the trains run from Liverpool Street up to half twelve/quarter to one i think. Those going other ways i'm not sure. Does anyone know anywhere vape friendly in town? I think Liverpool street is the best place personally but obviously central. you've got all those bars around Shoreditch, hoxton square, brick lane, etc with easy rail access for our Essex friends. But let's see the interest we get over the next few days, where people are travelling from, then we can better decide. Either way I think there's enough of us now to say a meet of some description is feasible. As for vape friendly bars. Initially at least, I'm thinking of a just starting of by finding a decent bar, sofas, and space etc just in case there's more than 6 of us. "the light bar" on Shoreditch high street for instance. Then approaching the owner and explaining in real terms what they are likely to see in there bar and hopefully get them to accept us all. failing that, will start working our way down. But Im confident I can find a bar of some description if it's central or south. But will need someone else to find a location if it's Essex. |

I'm not fussed about it to be fair. And I haven't seen a dentist in about 15 years! :-[
But at the end of the day, I don't think I ever saw a dentist who's breath didn't reek of pooh. That can't be healthy either.

You got my hopes up JJ seeing you live in Kent!! I'm in Tunbridge Wells - don't travel well - don't drive....So I will have to watch your antics from here again. MMa  Sorry, I'd offer to give you and oneday a lift, or anyone else near me, but I fancy a drink to be honest. And that's a problem with having the venue outside central London. If it were central London I'd train home. People are gonna have to consider that. I'll be willing to collect people enroute there, but I'll probably end up staying in a hotel for the night if it ends up being outside central London. But let's see what interest we get over the next few days and see where people are travelling from. |

Right so as it stands, let's pencil in that 19th Jan date.
Also it appears at this moment that east is most popular. But will hang fire for a day or two and see if we get more interest from elsewhere.
But at the moment, I'm thinking Greenwich, or north of the Thames Essex side. (However, if the venue is Essex, someone else might have to take the lead to get a venue as I don't know there)
As it stands we've got half a dozen or so interests which is a good start.

I have a mate who's wearing a brace and was told Apparently, diet coke is worse for your teeth than full fat coke. Because of the sweetners or other stuff? Find it difficult to believe but that's what he was told. to stay off all coke.

Right, not in central London may suit some, perhaps most. So let's look practically.
First somewhere like London bridge, we could do borough market for example. people could train in from many places. Drink, and then train home.
Or outside central London, would suggest Greenwich, Hammersmith, Hampstead, Putney, or somewhere off the north or south circular. This will be further away for many and mean most will drive. What do people think of this?
The alternative would be say Dartford or central m25 north or south?
I think these are the options we have. It will be a case of picking a location that would suit most or a fair number would be willing to travel to. But the location might not suit everyone.
I'll post the Saturdays in Jan and Feb that I can make.
your thoughts on location would be appreciated. But will have to try and get a happy medium.

and ciar, I'd love to bag "wiltons music hall" so I believe local to you?. I'm looking at venues central, it's a case of trying to get somewhere to suit most. Any ideas on decent venue please share. I've a few ideas, but need to establish if there vape friendly.

I'm making an assumption London would be a good focal point travel wise. Hopefully then we can encompass all home counties and further. But I'll keep an eye on locations and see if we start to get a shift in any direction.
