After being here reading for a few hrs last night it was time for bed, anyway having brushed my teeth and a mouth wash and gone to bed, I was lead there still thinking with my eyes closed and the taste of wash still in my mouth when I suddenly thought, I wonder if the vapor from Ecig's effect your teeth, because it seems most of the vapors are of a sweet nature, and surly some of this sweet vapor must stick to your teeth especially if your vaping most of the day. Ecig flavouring contains sweeteners, not the bad refined sugars. I dont remember seeing that Sweeteners are bad for your teeth anywhere but I may be wrong?

I have a mate who's wearing a brace and was told Apparently, diet coke is worse for your teeth than full fat coke. Because of the sweetners or other stuff? Find it difficult to believe but that's what he was told. to stay off all coke.

Then again, my teeth come out with the stars at night!

Mybad, I had terrible gum disease, lost 1 tooth and was warned that unless I stopped smoking I'd be losing more. I can't turn back time and undo damage already caused but my gum disease seems to be in remission now

.some of this sweet vapor must stick to your teeth especially if your vaping most of the day. I'm sure it does. I've noticed some extra cleaning is ideal. I had no idea smoking was so bad for gums and things. I knew it was bad for tooth colour etc.

Reminds me of the old joke Karma: My dentist told me that my teeth are fine but my gums have got to come out.(boom boom ) Seriously though, I have bad gums and the dentist said it was the nicotine. I think maybe it's the other bad stuff in the tobacco smoke though. Does anyone know for sure?

Skip, I thought it was more to do with the lack of oxygen to the gums that is caused by lots of the nasties in ciggies ???

I've always wondered the PH level of eLiquid, some taste acidic, some don't. Some also seem to leave a film on my teeth and I've noticed the darker ones also darken teeth until brushed.

I have a mate who's wearing a brace and was told Apparently, diet coke is worse for your teeth than full fat coke. Because of the sweetners or other stuff? Find it difficult to believe but that's what he was told. to stay off all coke. I've used Coke to clean/strip a copper medallion (12cm in diameter like an oversized penny) presented to a relative for 'Valour' in WW1, following it's discovery as the denizen of a deserted shed years ago. It was almost black and severely tarnished. Brasso, T-cut, etc had limited success in removing decades of degradation. I was advised by a jeweller to immerse it in Coke overnight. Within twelve hours it was back to mint condition, with no agitation. I've never drunk Coke since. In contrast, I've not smoked for 12 years and vape for pleasure. Prior to our diversion, I'd had to use an expensive specialised liquid to rehydate a dry mouth every few hours. Only by reading this post have I realised that post-vaping, I no longer have to fulfill this need.

My dentist is really pleased that I have changed over to vaping and says that both his receptionists have also gone the vaping route. I use false teeth but he says my gums have noticeably improved and that was after only one month of full time vaping.

Last time I saw the dentist I was still smoking, maybe he was just trying to dissuade me & thought I would only understand the more common nicotine reference. It was about 4 yrs ago (more fool me).
