OK it arrived this morning - wish me luck.
I've been having a go and I think it will take me some getting used to - especially remembering to press the ruddy button!
I'm not going for an all out stop on the real thing - too soon for that so I've decided to sort of use the e-cig as a fill in at the moment. I have a habit if I'm at the PC or working, to light up have a couple of puffs and leave it in the ashtray - very wasteful. At least with this contraption it doesn't burn away before I go back to it.
What I have found wierd is that I cough more than with proper smoke - it seems to catch the back of my throat - am I doing summat wrong?

Ok - taken the plunge and gone for the Titan with the highest stregth liq. I also ordered some stuff to water it down if it's too strong tho.
Add to that lot spare atomisers & cartridges and boy does the cost go up. Still gonna be worth it in the end.
I'm working on the theory if I don't get on with it I can pass it on to my hubby and or son!!!

My next question would be strength. Looking at my normal ciggies they state 0.6mg nicotine (remember I get thru 40 odd of them a day) what would be the eq liquid stength - anybody know?

Many thanks to all that responded, sorry I've not been back but had a family crisis that took up most of my time.
I've had a good read thru all your advice and think I will have a try. I shall probably go with the make that is most like the 'normal' round ciggie. As I mentioned i tried the ones supplied by the smoking clinic that had the flat holder - like the old fashioned thingies and couldn't get on with them, they just felt too wierd in my lips!!

Hi to all - been directed here from the ebay boards.
I'm completely confused by all the 'tech' talk in e-cig adverts. Some say about liquid, some say cartridges - so can anyone give me a simple answer as to what I need and should get if I give you my 'history'. Also a recommendation maybe of what makes to go for.
Now well into my 50's and been smoking since 15 years old and am now up to around 40/50 a day!!
I've been thru the whole smoking clinic thing the past 12 months trying patches, gums, lozenges, champix, zyban and the replacement 'pretend' ciggies. At some points doing a mixture of more than one thing. I thought the fake cigs would be a good idea as they were like the real thing but found I didn't like the shape of the mouthpiece and missed the 'smoke'.
I need summat that looks, feels and tastes like the real thing!!!!
