alan, that's a really good point if people see your e-cig and get interested that's a really good thing and I suppose I will feel a bit odd at first and that's fine, and all the teeth stuff is horrid, I am 33 and losing teeth thanks to lovely fag smoking! It's funny so many people on this forum seem to have had mouth problems with smoking yet I don't speak to anyone in day to day life who has had similar to me, perhaps alot of people are embarrassed and don't mention it, I notice there is some bad press about vaping, which I have a sneaking feeling may be to do with the tax man and tobacco companies crapping it about losing money! If that's not an incentive to start vaping I don't know what is lol

Chrissie vaping is souding better and better........it's funny I had never thought of it before but a friend of mine said she was just managing to stay off fags with e-lites but struggling so I thought I would investigate and see if there were any better options out there.....so glad I did

Karma, I totally get the teeth thing and resigning yourself to losing them, when my dentist told me I was going to lose back teeth, I really thought that would be the push I needed to quit, but after inhalators, patches and not enough will power I gave up giving up and accepted my gummy future lol! bloody smoking!

thanks so much everyone I am feeling really positive about this now:) I am going to email Jason and ask when he will be likely to get the riva 1100 in stainless and I think I will see how it looks then perhaps get the mini ego battery as oneday suggested and then I will be back to pick your brains on e-liquid! should I start a new thread to ask about liquid or just continue here?

amazing advice thanks everyone, I don't particularly want to give up smoking but I do hate the smell, the ashtrays, and teeth and gum problems.........I wouldn't mind going to the dentist if it wasn't for the "you really need to give up smoking you are losing your back teeth" I dread it! I actually really enjoy smoking! but think this is a far better way of doing it, I love the idea that you possibly won't want to smoke normal cigs anymore after vaping, I hadn't realised that......brill! I went from straights to rollies about a year ago and the first few weeks I really missed straights and now I really can't smoke them anymore so I guess it's the same thing.

thanks for the replies phew I had a mini panic lol but am cool with the 1100 again! and I was really thinking I should give up smoking when my riva got here.........so double phew, I think I assumed if you got the e-cig and continued smoking the e-cig would end up in the back of a draw and you could end up continuing with the horrible fags................... and Chrissie now I have serious e-cig envy.........that is beautiful

thanks so much to everyone who has taken the time to post, I am not used to forums and hope I am not being rude by not replying to each reply lol???? I think I am going to get the riva 1100 as suggested by Alan, I have been reading up on clearomizers and alot of people seem to have problems with them breaking and leaking.........has anyone else found that to be true/false? I hope everyone helping me realises once I have this bit sorted I will be moving on to asking millions of questions on the right e-liquid.........run quick.......save yourselves lol! thanks again everyone

thanks so much for all the welcomes, and discount codes......brilliant thanks, I am chuffed to have found this site, I went from utterly confused to much less confused in an evening reading all the threads on here! So if you had a choice between the Ego style starter kit 900mah and the Riva 1100 deluxe kit bearing in mind the Ego is very very cheap which would you choose? also as I have never used any sort of electronic cigarette before should I consider trying an e-lite type cigarette first before investing in a proper kit? Bearing in mind I am bloody determined to give normal cigarettes up (I smoke rollies at the mo and alot of them!) I am having serious gum/dental problems due to smoking my partner has given up so I am not smoking in the house or car and it's winter lol!..........smoking is not fun anymore lol!

hey Alan, ty for the welcome and for the link I noticed on the write up for the 510 carto deluxe it says that "It delivers great throat hit and masses of vapour so delivers a very satisfying vape" will the 1100 do the same thing?........is this due to the larger battery size?.......which is even better in the 1100 you sent me the link for...... I am a pretty heavy smoker so I really want to give myself the best chance by getting a good kit!
