Made a basic Cherry mix for a friend in work. 18mg 60/40 PG/VG.
He was using it in an old style Carto that fits to a battery that looks like a normal cig.
Next day he complained that the juice was to thin and it leaked. Im sure back in the day when i still used them i used to fill with PG.
Is this leaking a known issue or was he just being a noob and overfilling?

Have already played alot with the type of rebuildable head on the CE5s which are almost identical to the novas. Bought a batch of 50 spare heads that were all very poorly done so have had to go through the lot myself

Some feedback now ive actually used the thing.
Great for a quick taste of a different flavour. No waste when just using a couple of drops ata a time.
The top thread is nice and easy to unscrew and the bottom one is quite tough. think this is by design as you constantly need to unscrew top one but only need to change the bottom. Quick resistance check tells me it comes pre installed with a 3 Ohm coil, think i will lower that a bit when i change it. Will prob also give it a bbit more wick.
Genral vaping is a little odd at first. It has the air intake to the side positioned a little lower than the coil so you get alot of air with each vape. takes a while to get used to taking slow steady puffs. At first you may well make yourself cough coz its so easy to breathe in.
Havent changed the coul yet but will post again when i have to let you know how easy it is and what i think about the quality of the small screws and threads.

Also I think I am leaning towards something with a fibreglass wick. Does anywhere actually have the Penelope in stock?

Cheers peeps. Have Already got an internediate VV mod device on the way untill I have decided whether i want a Lavatube or Provari. Whatever High end rebuildable I get I'm not planning on screwing it into a standard ego battery. Just wouldnt look rite for a start

Have been Vaping for a while now just using the standard Ego and CE4/ CE5s
I am getting to the point where I am thinking about splashing out on one of the high end rebuildables but there are so many out there.
Have heard alot about the Penelope but is that just because its been about for longer than the others?
Was hoping to get some advise from the people who have been around for a while and may have a couple of different rebuildables to compare.

Well the dimensions of the coil determine the resistance, which in turn does affect the current assuming the power source remains the same.
But fair point it doesnt need to be considered if you are only looking for number of turns for target resistance.
The best way I have seen of doing this is to just measure the wire before cutting it and then add a length of no res wire either side. You then only coil the resistive wire around the wick and take the no res wire to the connections then you have the exact resistance you want. But I would have to agree that its a bit of a faff.

To clarify my previous post, Resistance does play a part along with length/type of wire but the amps are the easiest way to look at the heat generated.

I'm Afraid I'm going to have to be a pain and point out that your formula doesnt take into account different voltages.
The heat generated isn't about the resistance it is about the amps. So you would need to factor in V = IR and the power drain is about the wats for which you would need P=IV Or P=Isquared R.
And then of course there are the thermal properties of the wire, How hot it can get before it starts to do strange things like melt and break.
V = Voltage I = Current R = Resistance P = Power
Of course we must ask just how accurate do we really need to be, especially if we are using variable voltage batteries that we can just tweak up and down. Not to mention if we are measuring the resistance how many of us have regularly calibrated meters with an accuracy greater than + or - 1% down on the ten Ohm range?
