saphire, It sounds very much as if my friend has a similar amount of sight remaining. She's very scared by how much her sight is diminishing, and has been disturbed by her optical hallucinations. Out of interest, what software do you use to enable you to use your computer? And were you computer literate before you began to lose your vision? My friend has been interested in 'getting on-line' but has been daunted by her lack of prior knowledge. Your knowledge would be most gratefully received. Lynda Lynda, you could say I am computer literate, I have always had computers since the early 80's I built my own upto my eyesight failing. I now own a few apple products, iMac, MacBook Pro and iPad. The iPad I am on most of the time, apples front end with icons is much easier to use then windows, virtually no crashes it just works. I type with speech to text, the mic is an icon on the keyboard its a standard feature which is brilliant. I read with easy to use software which you can download free or paid from the apple store. I have recently started using siri which is in the new firmware upgrade on the new ipad so don't have to search the icons anymore to launch the programs, I just ask siri to launch them instead. I received my first Ipad in march 2011 and its been a life changer, I have never looked back that's why I bought the iMac and MacBook. For ease of use and packed full of features for the visually impaired you can't beat Apple products. If you need anymore information please PM me. Oh and by the way Il do Archery even though I am classed as blind.

I am partially sighted/blind I have no central vision and with just a little peripheral vision left. I am currently using the 2.5 vivi nova and love it. I couldn't judge in getting the right amount of juice in the cartos. There are no leaks in my vivi nova and its very easy to fill. Once I have unscrewed the top I can feel the opening, I have a 2ml dropper which I put along the finger tip and drip the juice into the top of the tube, being 2ml I know I am not overfilling it, I then screw the top back on and i am ready to go again. If you can persuade her to change to vaping her health and safety (no chance of a fire) will be much improved. Good luck.
