Not sure I agree robby, I think that the seller sets the terms of the sale within the rules of the forum. It is then the buyers choice whether or not to proceed. When I have sold my coil buddy's both here and on UKV, they were always cheaper here because I did not have to pay PayPal's fees. I hate paying anything to Paypal if I can help it and by using F&F, the option is there for the purchaser to pay from their bank account which means that PayPal earn nothing from the transaction. If the purchaser wishes to use their credit card and therefore incurs Paypal fees then then the total end price will still be the same. |

I still think it should be a choice and not a rule - I have bought here with paypal f&F - but as said before - I check of whom I buy - and till now  I was always really happy with the outcome If the person who is selling sells at a price that has all fees and postage included there is absolutely no need to use F & F and there will never be an issue. There may be 1000's of F & F payments made and no issues but it only takes one to go wrong and I think it is one too many. But the same situation can still arise from normal Paypal purchases. If someone is determined to rip you off, you have no control, which ever way you buy/sell when using PayPal. It is going to be a leap of faith for one of the parties. You just have to minimise the chance by researching the other party. |

Though probably not as controversial as the $492 million that Glaxo were fined by China for Bribery and Corruption last year.............must be a mistake, GlaxoSmithKline wouldn't have anything to do with bribery and corruption would they?

I really think it should be a Forum rule that transactions on the classified are paid as Goods/Service's as a poor chap on UKVapers has lost £150 due to paying another forum member via friends and family Don`t let this occurrence colour your view of how things work using Paypal. Here on AAE-C the system works nicely with only a rare occasion of things not working out. 99.99% of the deals go through without skipping a beat. We are probably the most honest group of people you will ever come across both here and UKV but on the rare occasion that a less than honest sale happens, you will always have the backing here of both Chissie and her great team of moderators along with the support of fellow members. |

As sammy13 has said, this has been discussed several times before and F&F is still allowed (I am pleased to say) If as a buyer it is not acceptable, then don't buy. The system on here has worked very well but of course, there is always the exception to the rule. It of course works the other way on non F&F Paypal transactions whereby the buyer pays by Paypal, the seller sends the item and the buyer scamsclaims to never have received it. Paypal will normally come down on the side of the buyer and the seller has lost both the money and the kit. Most purchasers on here are able to make a judgement based on membership longevity along with the feedback system. |

Right folks, Order completed. Here is how the process unravelled, I first emailed the Company through the link in the web page Robby put on here, requesting a price for supply and delivery for 1 Rdna temperature control flask in blue. I quickly recieved reply quoting a price of $88 delivered to my address, I sent an email back requesting a PI as I was happy to proceed , I Recieved the reply this morning ( Allow for the time difference as they are some 8hrs ahead of us) Which included the PI ( Invoice) and the email address to send payment to, I then completed payment and confirmed payment by sending another email with the transaction ID, my delivery address and tel no. And request to put lower price on parcel. Julia Confirmed receipt of payment, and will email tracking info tomorrow, ( Midnight there at the moment. So not a lot of hassle, just a few emails, and as Robby advised make sure you recieve the PI before paying. What is the latest car147 |
