Don't Pay With Paypal F&F HORROR !!!!

I really think it should be a Forum rule that transactions on the classified are paid as Goods/Service's as a poor chap on UKVapers has lost £150 due to paying another forum member via friends and family

on ukv your ment to pay with goods and services though if you dont its at your own risk, so he shouldnt of done it, either way i feel sorry for the person

I feel for anyone who has suffered loss this way.

On here this has been discussed before, we are a good bunch generally, and I think the outcome of discussions have been that f&f is fine, but discuss alternative if as a buyer you are not happy.

At the end of the day it is down to the buyer.

I think we should be allowed to choose either, personally. If I was buying something expensive then I'd probably use the goods option, even if I knew the person, liked them, trusted them etc as other things can go wrong. If it's a relatively small amount then if I felt happy about the person selling or didn't mind the risk then I'd use F&F. Either way, I'd hope the person selling would be happy with my choice.
It's very sad when things go wrong though, and for a large amount of money too.

there was a thread in members section regarding paypal im not sure if Chrissie binned it.

Basically its sown to the buyer if they want to pay via f&f or goods

As sammy13 has said, this has been discussed several times before and F&F is still allowed (I am pleased to say)
If as a buyer it is not acceptable, then don't buy.
The system on here has worked very well but of course, there is always the exception to the rule.
It of course works the other way on non F&F Paypal transactions whereby the buyer pays by Paypal, the seller sends the item and the buyer scamsclaims to never have received it. Paypal will normally come down on the side of the buyer and the seller has lost both the money and the kit.

Most purchasers on here are able to make a judgement based on membership longevity along with the feedback system.

I do buy from classifieds on both forums but take time to check member and feedback and generally buy from people I know (and in some cases - I've met)

Generally if an item is under £50 I'll send normal postage. Over, its signed for. If its a lot of money then its registered! So if its less and doesnt appear I would honour and refund as I'm the one taking chances with someone else's property - as once they pay me, it belongs to them.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the seller didn't even put a pic up of it & as far as I can see, the buyer never asked for one either..................£150 squids for something that may not of even existed...........Buying from a newbie without checking feedback or seeing pics of the item etc is always gonna be iffy.........
