IN'AX on the ZEN clone. Ran out of 18500s and 18650 mode just looked stoopid. Set about modding it to take 18650 in mini mode. 11cm long down to 9.5cm. Sweet! mmm, good job and very interesting:) May have to get my grinder out next weekend. Would look even better with a hybrid adaptor instead of the original topcap.

ps: benefit of this approach, rather just drilling the long tube through the new top, is that you don't need to drill/introduce a potential leak and the arrangement makes it much easier to remove/insert the bottle as only the outer tube is moved when the bottle's top nipple is withdrawn/inserted.

My DIY fix for the air-leaking bottle/tube: replace the flimsy bottle top with an inner top from an old 10ml bottle (mine was from an empty virtualvapes bottle) cut the tube into 2 piece: a longer one which is fixed inside the new topper using a small o-ring to make a seal (may make this more permanent somehow) a shorter one which is placed onto the 510 squonk pin trim the dropper stem so it fits snuggly in the limited space insert the dropper stem into the short piece of tubing that is now attached to the 510 pin hope that makes sense:

I wonder if they tweaked the chip then as mine was delayed/second batch after the supply issues and it's still not done it; only getting the confirm attie change after battery change/attie removal and tried it a good few times this morning. The sharp edges are an easy fix. My only concern is the design/construction of the bottle lid & tube so will be sourcing/making something which is a bit more robust hopefully. Does it have the logo on yours mate? Because the GB stated it would be a plain box.... No logo version. kx-60w flashes up on battery insert, then attie confirmation and then previously set 18.5w:)

Been using mine for a few days solid: battery life good with a vtc4 fitted, fires on the button, soft squonk and I've not had the 60w reset happen (TC off/kanthal coil & cotton at 1ohm @ 18w). 5 minutes with wet n dry and the sharp edges are gone too. I just need a decent 22mm bottom fed dripper now, though the modified quasar is working pretty well (groove cut into insulator as per CC's tip on ukv) Yours doesn`t even reset to 60W when you change the battery? Nope; just asks me to confirm same or new attie

woohoo:) here at last and a nice little mod for the £. Currently got a modified quasar on top and some 16mg DiY jaq le mons. 2 corners I'm going to file/smooth a bit, and the original tube/cap had an air leak where the tube goes in so swapped out and working nicely.

Shipped at last:) +1. My order status has been collecting products since 19th October so interested in the response to this query. Cheers Dear Tazmania, Sorry for the delay, Kangxin informed us that there is problem with their producing material. They will send us new batch this week, we are expecting it on Friday. Thanks for your patience on it. Doris

Just tried in a chalice with 2mm 1ohm microcoil (fed up of squonking every 2/3 toots) and works surprisingly well, as long as the squonk is prolonged a bit:) On toot number 10 and reckon I could get a few more I have the same set up but at 1.7Ohms, Ill have to try this tomorrow evening. Any difference in flavour? Not that I can notice (only menthol in though so difficult to tell). I used less cotton than the vid due to coil size (halved pad, stretched and then into 3)

+1 for Torchy; currently trialling one of his rewrapped Samsung INR-18650Q cells (Torchy 3000mAh) with a view to replacing my aging set of AWs and so far so good + he ships them out quickly.
