VG = Vegetable Glycerine - the higher the content of VG, the more vapour will be produced. Bear in mind though that most clearomisers will struggle to wick juice with a high VG content. PG = Propylene Glycol - the higher the content of PG, the more throat hit. Size - just means the size of the bottle of juice you are buying. Strength = nicotine content. As a very rough guide, a 20 a day smoker would need to go for either 18mg or 24/26 mg. Thank you, Chrissie. And apologies for all the questions Last one ..... how long does the juice last? It's probably dependant on how much one vapes, but a very rough guide. Oops, one more .... which base would be good for let's say the Riva kit? Will now keep quiet

I think I'm ready to bite the bullet One last question or two (for now), how important is the base, size and strength? An example: the Old Holborn flavour lobeydosser mentioned ... thanks for the link! ... states the following: Base - 50/50, VG only, mostly PG Size - 5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 120 ml (and I thought size only mattered to women ) Strength - Zero, 10, 18, 26, 36 mg

Thank you all @ Karma: I looked at Green Smoke (was told it's overpriced) and at Jacvapour (was told it's a bit limited). I just want something that reasonably resembles the taste of Old Holborn baccy. No, I don't want to smoke .... err vape coffee @ Everyone else: It's the terminology which confuses me, and what I need isn't very clear. I mean juices, dripping atomiser (sounds like preparation for a Saturday night out on the town). Starter kits, is that like a First Aid kit Seriously though, stuff like how long does it (whatever it is) lasts before one needs to recharge/refill, etc. I'm trying to figure out how long a starter kit lasts, compared to let's say 20 rollies or a packet of fags.

I was sent here from ECF by Chrissie Vaping for Dummies .... is there such a book? Heck, there are xxx for Dummies on just about every possible subject (and no, xxx doesn't stand for x-rated ) Is there a Jargon buster somewhere? I'm seriously considering switching from a 30 year smoking habit to vaping. Where to start? Atomisers, vaporisers, juices, batteries, Kr808D, 24mg, kiwi, toffee ...... man, my head hurts For the past 10 years I have been rolling my own, smoking Old Holborn tobacco. Now instead of which paper to choose, I have to choose a multitude of things. Agh, as Alf Garnett used to say "That's bloody marvellous, innit!"
