I quote; “What. In. Tarnation. Is. That. Thing. That. You. Are. Sucking. On?” He said what? What were you doing.... I was gesticulating at him with my new, battery- powered pink thing, naturalement!

I'll get back to replying to the rest of you who have very kindly advised or commented after I have enjoyed my Tescos takeaway curry meal £6 for two people, including Nan bread, Bombay potatoes, Pilau. Bargain.Well, I do need to cut down on the food bill in order to indulge my new past time.
Have 'they' invented a Chicken Madras ejuice yet?

Try to stop worrying about the size of the Riva - it's small compared to some If my neighbours who are in their 70's aren't worried about the size & how it looks, then you shouldn't be either They are just gobsamcked with how good it is Thank you! I have actually got used to it now already. I think I may soon need a bigger challenge! XXX

3) I have never seen anyone, vaping in public. Ever. I imagine I would get stoned if I produced this little baby anywhere round here. Somehow the cig-a-like was less embarrassing. Yeah, I need to get over myself, as they say. I have had some very strange looks out and about with a vamo in BIG mode, come to think of it I got the same looks before I started vaping > Haha! Yes, come to think of it, I actually do too, but that's because I drool.

get spare drip tips Flavours - your taste buds are shot from smoking, it'll take time for them to get back to anything near normal. Also, it does take time to find flavours that really suit you, it can be one of the most frustrating aspects of vaping! If you feel more comfortable vaping in public with a cig-a-like then do that. I have a couple of cig-a-likes that I use at work. do whatever works for you, there are no rules My hubby is also pleased that I've stopped smoking and also has no idea how much money I've spent! Don't sell your kidney, sell Mr Sam or the children first Thank you! Yes, I am coming to terms with the reality that my taste buds were/are dead. I always consoled myself, though that I was never quite as bad as my late ex Mother-In-Law who smoked 40 unfiltered Park Drive fags a day and had to take 5, yes, 5 sugars in her tea, just so she could taste it! She died 2 years ago of Emphesyma (sp?). If only she had discovered vaping. I would rather sell a marketable body part than the Mister or my Sprogs. With the amount that they all put away, I think the buyer would be back sharpish looking for a refund. Bluddy plague of locusts they are. XXX

throat hit is dependent on the nic level of your juice(higher is harsher), whether it is PG or VG (PG better TH, VG more vapour), the resistance of your atomiser (low gives hotter vapour), which atomiser it is, what its airflow is like and how charged your battery is (depending on what you are using - voltage output can decrease as the battery drains) By the way, concern over the size of the device wanes over time :-) Thank-ee kind Syre. I am using 18mg at the moment, I don't know whether I ought to go 'higher, higher' and use a Brucie Bonus or not. I was smoking Mayfair KS dark, so not sure what the nic content was on them. I'm vaping the VE samples which I think are a 70/30 ratio. I'm not sure if I can customize the ratio with only buying the 5ml sample bottles for the time being? The atomizers I'm using are standard resistance - came with the starter's kit. Yeah, have had no real substantial TH from a fully charged battery. The Riva battery is supposed to be a corker, though, isn't it. Don't ask me about its output or OHMS...as far as I was concerned, before I hit this forum, OHMMMM is what Bhuddists chant in meditation? XXX

Corrr, it's a big 'un Missus! This is a whole new kettle of ball games! I feel like I'm smoking a large pipe or mouthing a sonic screw driver. This is a world away from the Nicolites, isn't it? My thoughts? I love, love, love, love, love my Riva 1100 deluxe kit. Pink perfection.Did I say I liked it?
I've now had my first 24 hours in its company. I've been using both the cartomisers and the clearo that came with it (can't remember what brand both were) I thiiiiink that I am verging on preferring the cartos as at the moment as it just feels a little large and unwieldy, what with the length that the clearo adds to it. Super easy to use – quite self-explanatory, really. No real faffing about except the one time this morning when the drip-tip for the carto rolled under something on the table and I was down on me hands and knees on the floor, creeping about like something demented looking for it. But that was my fault.
So, juice-wise, I have been mostly vaping (get me, eh?) VE's apple – the very first vape from the clearo and I thought it tasted plasticy and only faintly apple-y. I whacked in the last of my Joocy Fruit and it tasted a little better. I thought that I had better get on the menthol bandwagon and filled a carto with Menthol Sensation, which was okish, but got bored with it after the ironing, so popped a few drops of RY4 onto it and I had Murray Mints. Currently I am onto Raspberry Truffle with a wee bit of apple to use it up and it's ok too. I think I am craving something that I can't quite put my finger on. Me Da would say, 'Yes, you're craving a smacked backside for being spoilt'...
So, overall my first foray into 'Big Girl' vaping has been a positive one, but there are a couple of issues that I have, namely:-
1) I am a teeny-weeny-tiny wee bit disappointed that the flavours are not as intense as I had imagined they would be and I also am not getting the throat-hit that I desire. Is it the juice? Does the 'device' need a breaking-in period? Do I need another doofer-dangle thingymajig to make it oooomph more? Yeah, I'm technically minded, it's obvious.
2) I can't quite get my head around drawing vapour and exhaling like a cigarette, yet it looks nothing like a cigarette. The end doesn't light up in red, green, blue or sky-blue pink any more. One has to remember to click a little LED blue button to inhale.
3) I have never seen anyone, vaping in public. Ever. I imagine I would get stoned if I produced this little baby anywhere round here. Somehow the cig-a-like was less embarrassing. Yeah, I need to get over myself, as they say.
4) Him Indoors said, I quote; “What. In. Tarnation. Is. That. Thing. That. You. Are. Sucking. On?” When I joyfully waved my new toy at him. I think he was relieved when I explained EXACTLY what it was for and that his lovely (much younger than him) wife wasn't as likely now to die of horrible smoking-related cancers. He doesn't yet know the depths of financial ruin that we are going to be plunged into via my new 'hobby', which leads me to point 5.
5) I can see myself having to sell a kidney to fund this burgeoning obsession.
Thank you for bearing with me on this ramble. I am going to fill a carto via the condom method and try out some Caramel Cappuccino, or whatever it's called. All advice is greatly appreciated. You're a truly lovely bunch and your posts make me smile. Now, where'd I put me poipe?

It. Has. Arrived.
I'll probably be back with my thoughts and /or a mini review later.
Meanwhile, I'm off to walk he dogs through the fields and will have a toot on my NEW Riva 1100 filled up with some 18mgs apple in the clearo for the very first time.

Here ya go, borrow this.... & I hope your delivery arrives along with mine tomorrow. LOL good to see that you have a quiet place to vape & at least there is a nice scented smell after. Depending on where your e-juice comes from, it may well need steeping, but so far the ones that I've ordered that need it, normally say in a note or on the bottle. A coffee for me, ta! Thank you! They are VE juices there was no info to say as such, it's just that I have been reading here about members steeping juices so that they taste better?? I am keeping things simple and staying with one vendor before I branch out. I am interested in the 'science' behind doing so if you know what I mean? Milk? Sugar?

May I just jump in here? I ordered the exact same kit last night too, different samples, though! VE have a promotional code atm for the whole of January. Its NEWYEAR and gets you 12.5% discount! (Got it in their flyer with my initial Pick n mix order.)
Hope I'm not too late here and you've already ordered.
