I will probably go for 2mm as at a guess..I think that's what my nova uses. Slim enough to use a 3/4 strands in the nova and not too thick for a single strand in the evod too.

Kanthal*
(Sorry, I can't edit on the mobile site)
Just thinking too...the wraps can't touch can they? Its weird, as I'm sure my current V3 coils are touching each other.

How come .16 gives more resistance then .2? Is it because the wire isn't thick enough to carry as much current? I was thinking more wraps would be better too...more coil to liquid ratio? Like surface area. Interesting!
Thanks guys... One more thing..should I be concerned about kanthol vs nichrome flavour or will either be better then the stock coils?

Hallo....
I think I'm going to try recoil/wick my own gear rather then buy some new heads, I'm just confused about which wire to try though :S
Would .2 nichrome be a good place to start? The clearos i use are a Mini Nova, Evod and V3 rebuildable. I quite happy to stay on silica wick for now...I just have no idea what wire thickness to get! 2.4 ohms would be what I'm aiming for.
I've watched a few vids and read a few guides, and noticed they vary slightly. I saw one guide where he suggested doubling up, or wrapping the wire around itself at the +/- parts....is this to stop the wire heating up there and making sure it only glows at the actual wick? I also saw another guide where they used a combination of resistance and no resistance wire. Again....is that for the same effect, just done differently.

I'm going to just give it up as a bad job...for how much they are at paradise vape i've just ordered another. I guess i can keep the battery for a spare when one of my others starts to loose charge quickly. Least i still have my new twist and the other 650mah, it's just nice to have one extra, just incase!

My OH screwed the nova on too tight a week or so ago (she didnt know bless ) which pushed the center pin down to a point where it wouldnt pop up without using a screwdriver to help. I cleaned it many times by using a small flathead screw driver with tissue on the end working it around the edge of the pin, hoping it was just gunk clogging it up, but it just wouldnt free up. Well today i FINALLY managed to open it up and get the head off. Great, i thought, ill just pull the the PCB out (where the button/LED is) and just work at fixing the pin from the inside. First i tried slowy pulling the plastic edge of the pcb with pliers....SNAP....the plastic edge came off. No problem i thought. It's not needed for function. Then i tried pushing at the remaining plastic edge at 2 small gaps either side of the head. No luck. It just would budge. So then i tried putting the screwdriver inside the head and working at prying out the black plastic arc/cresent shape of plastic on the inside....then suddendly i hear a quiet pop and burn my finger ..idiot... The ego proceeded to turn on an the light wouldnt go off so i grabbed it and was just about to run into the kitchen when the light went off. With a little hesitation i clicked the button....the light came on. Did 5 clicks...light went off. Maybe the short circuit protection had saved my ego.. So i put it back together and tried a clearo in it thinking it was alright.....nothing The LED works and it turns on and off.. but i think i've fried part of the PCB as it just wont fire up If only that little pcb would have come out freely.. Oh well...least they're only £5!

Yeah the deal is great and i enjoy all of the flavours..looking forward to getting the more from AC in future! I've never had zero nicotine juice though, its a weirds feeling Luckily for the mint choc chip, i already have to plain chocolate eliquid i can mix it with for nicotine, but the other flavours i have nothing similar to mix hehe. I don't know if i'll do the vodka trick! I know it wont be much, but with my job the last thing i would want is to smell of alcohol. Could be something to try at home maybe...

I got my 5 sample flavours from Alchemist Cupboard today (first time there). After the order, i realised they were nic free samples. No problem i thought! It'll be a good chance to see how i do with zero nicotine. Well, the good news is they taste great! Thumbs up for AC juice. Bad news is....absolutely no throat hit I knew nic was the main contributer to TH, but i didn't realise it was the be all and end all. I never thought it would bother me, but i really do need that slight kick on my throat to feel satisfied. Crap...

I got my evod today. Whilst playing with the amount of wick used above the coil, i picked up the tank to reassemble it....and forgot the bottom is where it fills from. So, i picked it up like a normal clearo and just spilt half an evod's worth of GVC on my jeans Oh dear... Good news is the evod is great, thanks for another brilliant recommendation

Nova dual coil is also good, if you don't have one. But I do think vv is worth having, even if it's only a spinner or twist. After thinking about it last night, I may get one. When the evod arrives I should hopefully be happy with that few for a few weeks so an I clear and pro tank can be left till next pay day. I was looking at a few on vapeescape. There are some unbranded ego ones with battery life LED, but then there are a couple of branded ones without the led which may be better. I do like the idea of VV bit I just don't want something as expensive or as big as a vamo =\

I take it the iclear 16 is smaller than the 30? and plus 1 to the Evod From looking at pictures, yeh, it just looks like your average clearo.

So I've gone from a CE4 to a V3 rebuildable, then to a mini nova and also a bauway Atty for dripping... What now? I'm not interested in a vamo or vari as im happy with my ego. I've been hearing good things about the iclear dual coil so I went to check it out today, but saw i would need a 16 rather then a 30 for cosmetics, which is fine.. But everywhere is out of stock eitherway he he. Just got an itch to spend a few pennies and give something new a go
