Got one thanks Perpy! Why does the OH always wait until I am in the garage before posting on a thread, and I only asked about the nail gun, because there is a mouse in the shed and I can't find his air rifle tut. I was going to put a bit of chocolate on the floor and wait! The little swine has eaten into my grass seed bag and chewed through my carrot fly guard material

My advice is... take it to the camera shop and say, "How much to fix this?" "HOW MUCH?? I can get a new one for that!" wait for the price to come down a bit, and if it doesn't, take it home and carefully pick your weapon

Absolutely, why use a claw hammer? you can never get the blerdy bent nail out anyway ??? The lump hammer is excellent and never misses After my black fingernail episode, I always hold the nail with pliers, to get it started though, it saves on expletives

Just think of it at a great opportunity to learn brick laying skills Clutter Mixing cement is great! No surprise here but I have trouble with threading strimmer cord too. SO I CHEAT! I found some plastic tie wraps and threaded three into the holes on the strimmer, works a treat, no cord needed

Thank you Scylla, all the kind comments on this thread have helped him to get over the shock of what could have been. Hopefully we will have some news of little Alisha at the weekend, and will let you know of her progress

Hi Clutter, sorry NO you can't borrow it! I NEED IT!!!!!!!!!!!
And yes brute force is far more satisfying! My super little white van's ignition sticks in hot weather and won't turn. I spray WD40 in it and wait patiently until it lets me turn the key. DO I HECK! I sit there thumping the steering wheel and calling it names until it capitulates.
Perpy! no more nails! What would I do with the lump hammer????

Yes Jerry that was it, you didn't replace, you fixed! I remember my first motorcycling exploits... A honda 50cc moped, I thrashed the living daylights out of it and blew the engine up. An enterprising friend put a 90cc unrestricted engine in it for me and all of a sudden I could do 50mph with a following wind, and I thought I was IT I used to do wheelies Unfortunately I tried to give it the big un on a pub car park in front of my friends and hadn't reckoned on the gravel surface I dumped it, and me on the ground, and they fell about laughing :-[ It managed to put up with me until I was safe to let loose with something more growlier

Sadly Chrissie, I am not allowed to mod the kettle! I have spent ages de-scaling it with white vinegar, in the hopes that it will develop a leak, but no, it just keeps on making enough noise to drown out the radio, even with the door shut ??? In our household, you do not replace until it is definately dead, beyond all repair. Case in point... I have a Matsui microwave oven that I bought in 1989 for my first pad. Hugely exciting to have my first pad The thing was white when I bought it, now it is yellow, it is also the size of a small fridge, and takes up far too much room in a small kitchen. BUT IT STILL WORKS It has suffered at my hands for all these years, I used to dry my knickers in it, in the winter! ( I used to work in Newmarket and I did everything in a hurry, because you had to go to race meetings and PARTIES ) By the way, don't try this at home because it does your elastic in

I agree with everything that Verey said Loved Adam, Loved my Docs, Loved Goth I also loved Freddie! How could anyone not admire a showman of his ilk? My OH is a huge Queen fan and didn't know that the last words on One Vision, are fried chicken! I bet him a tenner and ... ... ...I ended up paying for a takeaway, because he paid out on a bet ??? Anyhow the eighties float my boat, so have the dab tuned to absolute eighties most of the time, takes me back to school days and first loves, oooh Its amazing how many youngsters like it too
