You are in the right place unseen - I joined a week ago after a friend started to vape instead of ciggies. Having seen people try e-litres one minute and be back on the fags the next I had kind of dismissed the idea. I know I'm only just past the 2 day mark but the desire for a stinky just isn't there. I was sceptical but so far I'm delighted with the results!
My advice would be that when you run out of fags just don't buy any more! Stick with the vaping and you'll soon forget about them!

I have some friends in Hillsborough so perhaps we might bump into one another sometime in the Plough or Hillside and I could benefit from your vaping knowledge!
I'm just over the day and a half mark since my last stinky and I'm delighted to report I've no intention of going near them any time soon!
Thanks to everyone for your advice - I hope to continue to take advantage of it as I move into a whole new hobby and intend to convert some of my friends and colleagues too. My wife is already pleased at the lack of the stale smoke smell in my clothes and hair!

Well that was interesting! Not quite what I expected and a little harsh on the throat initially (vaping 18mg Hangsen Menthol) but overall very effective at alleviating the desire for a stinky! Once I got into it I went through about 0.8ml over the evening so a lot more vaping than the usual 1 or 2 stinkys of an evening! That's just the novelty though. Next test the golf course which is where I'm heading now!
Thanks Chrissie - it didn't take long to top up the charge anyway. Is it better to fully discharge batteries before charging or is I ok to top up?
I only bought 1 battery as a trial - looks like I'll need to pick up another one soon but still early doors!
My next questions are likely to be about mixing juices together....

Well my eGo 900mH and CE4 have arrived, I've filled my clearomiser and now I just have to wait for the battery to charge! I'm quite excited to be honest!! I'll report back later on how I get on!!
Another quick question - is it ok to use an e-cig in the rain???

[/quote] I can't wait to try it on the course this Saturday - It's perfect for golf - no leaving your cig lying smoking waste fully on the green while you putt! Just switch off and back on on the way to the next tee! Sometimes being a procrastinator and researching every purchase to death pays off! I found the forum via money saving expert - I can't remember the OPs name unfortunately - but I'm glad to have found such a wide base of knowledge and advice!! My kit arrived at home this morning but I won't see it until tomorrow night. Can hardly wait!! |

Thanks all for the welcome.
I went for the bare minimum to get me started in a refillable because I know what i'm like and I will probably be looking to mod in no time or at least move into rebuildable heads.
Time for a few silly questions! I've answered most of mine with a bit of trawling but this one remains unanswered:-
I have mains and car cigarette lighter adaptors for other USB devices - will these work with the eGo USB cable? Does the spec of the adapter matter?

Hi all,
I've been lurking on here for a day or two and since I have taken the plunge I thought i'd say hello!
I'm not a big smoker - genuinely 3 or 4 a day and a few more at weekends / on the golf course but I do worry about the effect on my body and my bank balance especially as the cost of being a smoker in the UK seems to be as exponential as the price of oil!
So with that in mind and following lots of good advice gleaned here i've skipped the seemingly disappointing e-lite phase and i've just ordered an Ego CE4 900mah and a selection of 3 x 10ml e-liquids from ecignet.
Taking advantage of the free postage and 20% forum discount it cost about the same as 60 analogues (i'm picking up the lingo!) I'm looking forward to a new experience replacing a dirty habit with a much cleaner one!
Thanks to everyone on here who have indirectly given me the info I need to take the first step to becoming a vaper instead of a smoker!
