it doesn't really matter if you have variable voltage I'd probably still go for the 1.8ohm though

1.8ohm evod is great up to about 4.2v , might get a bit of a burnt taste if you go much higher.
2.5ohm evod you'll probably want to set your vv battery to it's max setting

yes mate you can buy replacement evod coil-units from lot's of places..

I think these are the cheapest in UK though (Ireland) at about £1.50 each

if you're using them on an Ego type battery get the "1.8ohm" version

not sure about the CE4+ but the inside of the evod coil-unit looks like this



they usually have a couple of extra little pieces of wick sitting on top of that coil, those are just there to help prevent too much juice getting inside.

I wouldn't recommend attempting to re-wick an evod by trying to get new wick into the existing coil.
