O that's a shame Win . . . . I tell you who could be the person to contact is a member on here . . . profbeard. . . he's a huge SD fan and may very well be prepared to sell you one of his stocks. And actually, I've just thought of another member on here . . . hissie . . . who was also saying that she might sell her SD. I'm sure they wouldn't mind you PM'ing them to ask. Thanks, I PMd. This feels like a really friendly community by the way!

Hope Win, pops back to let us know how he got on. Sure . No progress so far - still looking. Didn't hear anything from TW. Hmm, posting to Screwdriver board might be a good idea but I don't know if thats bit rude, wanting to buy something they are selling for less

It could be worth emailing Trog/Matt to see if they can help you Win . . . I needed some SDII batteries that TW were out of stock of . . . Matt supplied them, no probs whatsoever. Welcome by the way. Thanks! I will try that. I already emailed to TW just in case they have few spare Screwdriver body shells lying around .

Yeah, if I will not get any offers I guess MK1 body would still be the best bet. The main difference is the diameter, or more importantly what kind of batteries can be fitted. MK1 is thinner. They used to have different switches aswell, I'm not sure if thats still the case. In general parts are not interchangeble. All in all I prefer MK2 simply because I'm so used to it, and I already have many spare parts.

Thanks for the link but it seems that they only sell MK1 bodies. MK2 is only available as a multi piece kit which costs 75GBP.

First of all hi everybody since this is my first post. I just registered to leave this classified and maybe to post bit later.
After a year of heavy use my Screwdriver finally died, the upperbody bodypart more precisly (spring, soldering, atty connector area) which I failed to repair. I really love the device but I'm bit in trouble since TW is now out of the bodykits and I really don't want to spend 70GBP for base kit!
So please if anyone has a spare body kit (preferably in silver but black is fine aswell) let me know. I can also buy only upper body part separately or some sort of affordable kit with batteries.
I'm in Finland so ideally from Europe. I have Paypal ready.
Kind Regards -Lauri
