Just thought I'd update - I've now been vaping exclusively (was dual fuelling for a while) for 3 weeks, and I'm a happy bunny. Don't think I'm going to make Vapefest, Shrewsbury is a bit of a bugger to get to without my own transport, and the trains being the way they are at the moment - maybe next year, eh? I've caught shinyitis again, in addition to the Endura T22s, I now have 2 Subvods, and an Eleaf Nano, and there's a Cool Fire 4 on the way (just because it was green), and an Isub G tank. Have decided rebuildables are not for me, am just keeping it simple. Signed up with Sizzlebox last month, and as a result discovered Trip Hammer (yes, I know you all know, but I've been away from vaping for years!) - now addicted to Cream Tea and its derivatives, plus Hang Fire from Sailor Sauce. Can't stop browsing vape sites! Anyway, it is SO good to be off the stinkies again, plus the husband has more or less switched to vaping again, and now my best friend has bought her first bit of kit (all I know about it is that it's shocking pink!) so most sources of temptation have been removed, and I can't see me ever going back to tobacco. My Dad (who will be 89 on Tuesday) is still happily puffing on his cigars - and I'm living with him for the foreseeable future (he has mixed dementia and prostate cancer, needs care), apart from the occasional trip back to Ireland to see my husband and dogs. Luckily I've never rally enjoyed smoking cigars! But anyway, I babble - just wanted to check back in, in case anyone thought I'd shuffled off and gone back to smoking again

Hello and welcome. I've recently returned to vaping after a couple of years back on cigarettes, so have been looking at the advances in vaping kits since my last encounter with them. I'm very happy with (as mentioned above) an Endura T22 - can be had from Amazon for around £20 and has everything your son would need, other than the juice. Very simple to set up, charge and fill. Having said that, I also got myself a KangerTech SubVod (about the same price, again available on Amazon). Now,most cigarette smokers inhale directly into their lungs, as opposed to many vaping systems which are designed for a mouth-to-lung method (ie you draw the vapour into your mouth, and then inhale it). This takes a bit of getting used to, but the SubVod system is designed for direct device-to-lung use (it's also a simple introduction to the world of sub ohm vaping, which confuses the wilies out of me!), and I personally think it's an easier way to start vaping if you're used to smoking cigarettes. Of course., not everyone smokes the way I used to, but a lot of people do - and this seems to be something which is rarely thought about or mentioned when recommending a system to new users. Anyway, those are my thoughts on the matter - am sure others will disagree - but there are loads of ways of vaping, we're all different - so thought I'd share my recent experience of getting back into it - the SubVod made it a lot closer to a smoking experience for me, so might be worth thinking about Bext of luck to your son, no matter what he chooses - I've not touched a cigarette for over a week now - down from 30 a day - and I don't have even the tiniest craving. So glad to be back!

Another Sussex person here (though am in Ireland, where I 'officially' live, some of the time). Would love to met up with other vaping locals, and can recommend the Yellow Book in York PLace, Brighton (opposite St Peter's Church) as a venue - great people, Steampunk theme, vaping welcomed! Anyone fancy some time after July 20th (cos am back in Ireland until then)?

Hi all - those who may remember me, and those who don't/would prefer not to After a few years back on the stinkies again (after getting the flu, and not being able to vape, because it make me cough, but could still, ironically, smoke just fine), I have finally been able to get back to vaping - it's been about a week now, and I'm determined to stick with it. Sooo... here I am, currently in Hove, but away back to Ireland for a couple of weeks on Tuesday, armed with my 2 new Endura T22s, although some of my old stuff still works after all this time, and 2 years of steeping juices is highly recommended - some of my home-mixed ones are truly just coming into their own now!

The car is a Nissan somethingorother (I'm not good with cars!). Here it is with the husband. Husband is/was a mechanic, car is dying, he tells me it's unfixable, we can't afford a new one! This is the back-up - my electric bike, which I love!

Sorry I've not been around for a week or so, caught an awful cold which turned into bronchitis, and am only just back on my feet again. Hence lack of progress on organising the Brighton meet , but I'll get on to it this week - am about to go out for the first time since I got ill, hoping not to collapse with a coughing fit!

All lithium batteries HAVE to be carried in hand luggage, whether for vaping, cameras, whatever. I usually carry a couple of half-filled clearos in hand luggage too, but the rest of my liquid goes in checked luggage. Wrap any filled clearos/cartos well in kitchen paper or similar, as they will leak under pressure. I usually wear an eGo/clearo set-up on a lanyard round my neck during the flight, and have been known to stealth vape. Because of the leaking under pressure, it's probably best to use a liquid that doesn't give off too much of a smell (learned that after emanating chocolate donut rather strongly!). Think I've flown around 8 times since I started vaping in March, and not had a problem as yet.

I use Decadent Vapours 'Rich Pipe' as part of the base for my attempts at juices a bit like Longbottom Leaf - to me it has a definite pipe tobacco flavour (not that I've ever smoked a pipe as such, but my Dad used to and I think I had a drag or two on it as a child). Perfumer's Apprentice DK Tobacco is the other part of my base, if that helps at all

You did? I could have sworn you were there - bloke comes over, starts talking to us about juices and saying he had a big bag of them, I was saying that I mix my own, he then told us he was giving them away so we went for it...are you sure you weren't there? LOL

Took me ages to find the flavour label - it's a clear thing positioned sideways on the bottle in the gap where the black label erm..doesn't meet, if you see what I mean! Once I found it I couldn't see how I'd missed it, but I had!

So, Blownupdolly, Phoenixflame (Julie) and I were sitting outside the Tamworth Arms last Saturday night, when this guy comes up to us and offers us free juice. He had a load of flavours with him, from Fumescape.com (it says on the bottle), and I chose the Coffee Cake, being a fan of all things coffee. It's taken me a few days to get around to trying it, but I have to say I am blown away by the flavour - it's wonderful - sweet coffee with a touch of cinnamon (well, possibly more than a touch), and I can't get enough of it! Just wondered how the other flavours were, girls? I'd sworn never to buy juice again, after starting to mix it myself, but I am seriously considering placing a large order for more of this very addictive coffee cake!
