The only place of what I can see at the moment is www.tankecigs.com/FC-2000-Porous-Ceramic-Wicks-p/cw18.htmThey're a bit pricey tho! S&S mods had them on their site for a quarter of the price but were out of stock. Just looked now and they've been removed. There was also one person on eBay selling them but haven't relisted them yet. By the looks of it they're quite had to get hold of. Thanks, I fancy a go at one, no chance of any shorts with that stuff yeah that's what I understand too also they seem to think you don't get any hot spots but how true that is I don't know

Just looked in my eBay and they were for sale from tankcigs as well. $19.95 was £13.05 and shipping was $6.55. They were expensive but as long as you didn't break them these would last way longer then ss mesh, as you can boil these to completely clean them and also take a blow torch to them burn out any juice that was left behind after boiling them. There's videos on you tube about them, they look quite impressive to me just expensive tho

I too had problems with the ohms fluctuating up and down when i forst did mine, are you oxidising your coil wire? What I did that worked for me was, oxidised my wick some more with VG oxidised wire with a lighter just till it started to glow then fixed my coil in by using the drill bit method. Pulsed it a few times without the wick in (apparently this strengthens the wire) then inserted my wick checked for hot spots the primed with juice. Ohms stayed the same without fluctuating. Maybe it was a fluke but it worked for me

I myself would not, well not until they are more used by the vaping community..don't like being the lab rat But saying that i don't think i would never need them as i only really use Carto's and Evods. I normally only use carto's especially when I'm out but I've just starting using a genesis style when at home. Think quite a few in America they use the ceramic which is also really the only place you can get them

Not myself but read this: The Ceramic Wicks are very porous and deliver nearly same as SS-Mesh. They break very fast so it's more for very experienced users. The trick ist to make the coil tight under using heat (blowtorch). A hole inside is not necessary, capillary action is given without, even it would make it more fragile. The advantage is: A very clear taste and no bad taste is it runs dry - you get a taste like hot stones smelling. So not a hit in face like 510 or more bad with a 306 running dry. One disadvantage is: Not the first choice for flashmatics - throathit is not so explicit Also the need a longer heating up: 1-2sec delay then they are running fine I've read some of that before which is what got me interested in them altho I'm still undecided lol. I've also heard that you get no shorts or hot spots with the coil, don't know how true that is tho. What's your view on them? Would you try it

Hi all This is my first proper thread, so for give me if its already been mentioned before. Just out of interest I was wondering if anyone has tried the ceramic wicks? I've seen them on you tube and they look pretty good, but just want to ask about it first before I waste more money on something that turn out to be crap lol Cheers guys

Hi mate. Welcome aboard. I'm one step behind, when we had our baby I went from tailor made to roll ups thinking I'd get bored and give up. That didn't work so now I'm a vaper. Best move I've made!! hi dickyg and thank you. Yes I agree it's the best move I made too. I found it best to ween myself off roll ups over a about 2 weeks rather then just stopping which I found a lot easier altho ever now and again I still crave a roll up especially in the mornings lol. But I shall resist! I've now been smoke free about a month

Oops, crossed posts with you Shaun Don't ever worry about asking any questions here Thanks chrissie I'm a bit shy at asking questions tho as to me they seem a bit dumb or my of already been asked, and I know on some forums they don't like being asked the same thing all the time

Hello & welcome Shaun And do they use forums to get the info on what to buy? I'm interested because it seems quite unusual to me to have a group of people so close together who use relatively advanced ecigs. You are so lucky to have a group of friends like that, it's something most of us only dream about. Wondering & feeling the same as Womble Maybe our friend Macca has something to do with this? No I don't think so chrissie but then I could be wrong. I think what it is, is that the first one to start it off has been vaping for a few years now so his ecigs are advanced and he's just advised us to go down the same road rather then wasting money on ecigs knowing that we'll want to upgrade at some point just the same as he did. Since then I believe we've just been looking at advanced mods rather then common ecigs like skycig etc

I know at least 2 of them use the forums I think 1 of them may even be on here somewhere. He's been vaping for a few years now but kept it quiet for some reason, but over the last few months he's been providing info to us newbies which has been great but there's only so much we can learn from him so I've decided to go out and find the info myself as he can be a bit reserved on it sometimes. Like he's fed up talking about it. The other guy is just to advanced for me, half the time I don't even know what he's talking about! Lol. The rest of them are like me (still quite new to it) so don't have a lot to share. Our group is done through Facebook and at the moment I think there's about 20 of us on there but it's just not used enough like the forums are i.e. AAEC.

Hi Womble A few of us are using vamo's and there's a couple that like the higher end of the market i.e. provari's etc. there's one guy who must have more money the sense as he's always buying the expensive stuff. Think at the moment he's using a roller with a Ac9 he also has the kayfun mini 2.1. Unfortunately I could only dream of having something like that as its way out of my price range! Lol These are just a few of the things we're all using

Hi all, I'm shaun and I just wanted to Introduce myself because I'm really interested in the co-op buy for the Sigelei TZmax and I understand to take part I need to tell you all a bit about myself. My girlfriend and I have recently had a new baby and I wanted to give up using roll ups and found this to be the way to do it! Have really got into vaping and am pleased to have come across this forum! I'm a train conductor and vaping is very popular with the people I work with, we have our own group where we share information & advice. When I'm not vaping I enjoy fishing and try to regularly go boat fishing, I live on the coast so this is quite accesible! I use the following vaping equipment; Vamo v2 with a AGA-T2 which is for home use only due to the size of it! I also have 2 ego 1300mah battery's and a vision spinner which I'm using a udct with. Also have a vivi nova and ce5's not sure if you all want to know this but thought I would add it in anyway lol. I also make my own juice with my favorite being mocha. Like I've said I'm quite new to vaping so don't know a lot about it but ill try best to help others where I can. That's me for now if you would like to know more or ask me any question please do.
