I've been messing around with my rsst rbas since they arrived and I've come to the conclusion that if you're prepared to mess about with them, they give not only brilliant flavour, but also good hit and reasonable vapour..

When they first arrived, I wicked them both with oxidised 400 mesh and 4 wraps of kanthal 0.3x0.1 ribbon.

I then tried 2mm flamed ekowool with a mesh sleeve.

Then it was 2mm wire rope with a small mesh sleeve where the coils are wrapped.

My last attempt is with 2mm rope with a full length mesh sleeve. (Only top 1cm is oxidised)

I have rolled the top 1/3 to be quite tight to the rope but left the rest quite loose. Like a dress almost.. my aim was to get a bigger hit at the same voltage and it certainly worked!

Inserted the wick into the top deck from underneath before assembly, built it all up. Wrapped 0.20 kanthal a1 to give 2.5ohms.

Checked coils were all evenly glowing, filled tank, doused wick in juice, and lit it up..

This final setup is working the best by far..

I will note that I have drilled the airhole out to 1.5mm. With all of the other setups the draw was VERY airy.. good essence of flavour but not brilliant.. the last setup gives a very full flavour and similar vapour output to my protank. I also leave the airhole bung in place with no ill effects so far!

Best setup I found for the protank was 1mm ekowool wick, 4 wraps of ribbon, 1mm ekowool flavour wick. I was happy with that..

I now only use the protank as a backup if my evods run out juice.. protank is great for what it is, but the rsst is better!! Both protanks are back in their boxes waiting to be cleaned and sold
