Received my mixing kit today Now to get down to business......I am using the todmuller.com ejuice calculator, nicotine base I presume is 72mg as it says on the bottle. I know the water added is optional but why would you add water in the first place? The flavor % is on 20, is this the standard percentage? Do I need to up it or is it the best amount to start with and add more if needed after steep? Thanks

That covers the basics, yes. If you want to get serious about DIY juice, you'll find it's *much* cheaper to buy your ingredients in bulk: think in terms of buying PG, VG and probably nic base by the litre. One of each of those should last you a good long while. I wouldn't buy huge quantities of any particular flavour until you're sure it's something you can work with and you'll use a lot. It looks like a lot of outlay at the beginning, but once you have the ingredients in stock, you can mix perfectly good juice to your exact taste for £1 for 10ml, at most. And there's no reason why you should ever get bored with your juice, ever again. So honestly do you think I should just get it separately to start off with so I got enough to play around with? Do you just look at a recipe and buy the ingredients?! It is amazing what you can do, there are some great recipes in the Mixology section :-) Do you measure the percentages with the syringe?

Yes joosejuice was my last order of e liquid as stated at the start of the thread :-) I found their flavors horrid and bland, apart from the bubblegum flavor. I suppose you get what you pay for. The mixology section is now my number one reading thread right now! Timbo I have some Capella bubble gum I'm happy to send you if you PM me your address, for some reason I can't taste the damn stuff (I am weird!) If you want it I can throw in a few other rejects, none of them are very old, and I would be glad to clear the space. It would give you something to play with in the beginning I used to mix 0 nic mixes just to test a flavour (penny pinching I know) Nicotine does tend to change a mix slightly, but at least you can get a sense of YUCK or mmmm, worth working with and bin the Yuck ones without feeling like you are throwing any real money away Aww that would be great :-) thank you I will pm you when I get home.

have you tried link£1.49 for 10ml plus a paltry P&P sum. As for home brewing, you should have a look at the Mixology section on this forum, not all mad scientists you know.LOL Yes joosejuice was my last order of e liquid as stated at the start of the thread :-) I found their flavors horrid and bland, apart from the bubblegum flavor. Are we talking about rubber gloves or special nicotine ones?

Im in a similar boat to you, I have one juice that I really like. Just because they are more expensive don't expect them to taste better. The ones I have tied that are priced at £13 - £15 for 30ml still taste bad and my expectations of what they should taste like were shattered. I would mix your own, it is a hell of a lot cheaper. Obviously when your trying to work out what you like just make up 3ml samples till you find out exactly how you want a certain flavour then you can start mixing bigger quantities. T juice sell the concentrate for there juices in 10ml bottles that you mix yourself, they may be worth looking at. As for being the same price as stinkies, were you a light smoker? I have spent a lot of money getting set up in vaping but it is still less than analogues. I will have a look into mixing, I only want to do it if it's not to much hassle. I smoked no more than ten cigarettes a day, maybe more on a Saturday night. I smoked rolling tobacco which cost around £4. For half decent enough liquid your looking at around £4.50 for 10ml which last around the same time as a pouch of backy, maybe less. That along with batteries, tanks, chargers, etc etc and buying juice i don't end up even liking ....... It gets a bit expensive and frustrating that it's costing me more lol!

As you are in Worthing I would suggest getting along to the Brighton mini meet where you will get lots of advice and have a chance to try different things out. I have thought about this but I seem to of missed the last one.

Ok thank you for your input everyone, I am going to go on an e liquid hunt. Also may have a look at mixing my own but I just think its going to be more mucking around, more failing and more money down the drain mixing random stuff together. After 7 months I still do not find e cig's any cheaper than analogs, only thing that keeps me going is it saves my health which is most important. Happy vaping

I think you have mostly answered your own question. In what way? If it is because I have gone for the lower costing ones? That was why I also said even the more expensive ones just have the same old flavors
