I've been vaping for 6 weeks now - previously a very heavy smoker, but I've not touched a fag since my stuff arrived and I've not even thought about them.
I bought about 15 flavours to try and find something I like. I didn't like any of the tobacco flavours and some of the fruit flavours were too sickly/chemically for me. The two flavours I've settled on are Sweet Sampilla (tastes a little bit like Tunes cough sweets) and BLM (Blackcurrant/Liquorice/Menthol), both from LTCigs. I can happily smoke either flavour all day long, but BLM is probably my favourite, which is surprising as I always hated menthol fags and I'm not really a fan of Liquorice either.
I'm quite happy to just stick to these two flavours now, so i guess my next step is to experiment with making them myself to keep my costs down.

Thanks for the tip millerkev. The ten bottles of "sample" flavours I bought have been by far the biggest waste of money, but it has helped me find 2-3 flavours I really like. It would be good to offload the ones I don't want, so I'll consider selling them on and I'll certainly visit some shops in future to find some new flavours that I like. The shops seem to be popping up everywhere, or maybe I just didn't notice them before!

I've solved the reason why the 306 drip tip didn't fit my 306 atomiser - the atomiser comes fitted with a black sleeve, which I thought was part of the atomiser itself, when in fact it's just a protective cover! I was using the protective sleeve as the drip tip! Now I've removed the sleeve the real drip tip fits no problem at all.

Doing well space..............well done...............shinyitus is just around the corner.......... Well I've noticed people talking about that, and to be honest I don't see the appeal. I made a point of getting quality stuff from the start to avoid the need to upgrade, and I'm really happy with the quality of the SS Vamo and the Vivi - the only possible upgrade that I can see would be a Provari and there's no way I'm going to spend that kind of cash! I will be trying a lot of new flavors though and I also hope to gradually cut down the nicotine levels. No I didn't get round to sorting it. You don't really need the drip tip if you're just having a few tokes to sample a flavour, but it is better to use one, so I'll contact the seller later.

So it's the end of my first week vaping and it's gone really well! Despite me still having quite a lot of rolling tobacco left over, I've not touched cigarettes since the moment the liquids arrived. There's only been a couple of occasions when I've gone to roll a cigarette, but that was more from habit rather than anything else. A quick vape and I soon forgot about it.
The Vamo with the Viva Nova works great - I use the variable voltage feature on the Vamo quite a bit, and a 18650 battery lasts me about a day and a half. I'm really happy with what I've bought, but the charger included with the Vamo is very cheap and flimsy, so if anything that's the only thing I would consider upgrading.
I bought a selection of ten 10mg eLiquids with different nicotine strengths from LTcigs. A couple I didn't really like and I've not tried all of them to be honest (I bought several different tobacco flavour, and I've not bothered with a few of them yet). My favorite has been the Blackcurrent/Licorice/Menthol at 20mg. I've finished that bottle and now I using up the very similar Blackcurrent/Licorice, also at 20mg.
Overall it has been a great success so far. The last couple of days I've noticed an improved sense of taste and smell and I'm sure over the next few weeks I'll notice having healthier lungs too. It's great not stinking of fags all the time - either on my clothes or the house.
Thanks for the advice from everyone on here - without your input I would have bought totally different things, which would probably have left me disappointed.

They should just push over the atty space. They are a tight fit mind. Maybe you have the wrong drip tips? Sent from my Galaxy Note 2 No, they're both exactly the same size and both are quite hard plastic - particularly the tip, so it can't even be prised on. Also how do you guys actually use these? What I mean is, do you have one single "toot" to equal a cigarette, or occasional "toot" sessions in the same way you would smoke a cigarette?

I received the rest of my stuff today, but I have a problem - the 306 drip tips do not fit the 306 atomisers? I do still have the two tanks, but this means I can only try two flavours I've tried Licorice/Black Currant/Menthol in the Vivi Nova so far - not too bad, but tastes a little "burnt" and nowhere near as "fruity" or "sweetlike" as I was expecting.

1 x Stainless Steel Vamo v2 (new spring version) 2 x 18350 Batteries 2 x 18650 Batteries 1 x Charger and Adapter 1 x Generic Tank 1 x Vision Vivi Nova Tank V2.5 Kit 1 x Vivi Nova 1.8 ohm head 2 x Bauway-306-LR-Atomiser 2 x 306 drip tips 10 x Various 10ml eLiquid samples
Total cost was a little over budget at £107, but I don't mind as I've bought loads of spares and good quality stuff. Thanks for the help everyone!

Thanks Andy, As it happens I did order a spare 1.8 ohm head as well, so that was lucky. Everyone is very helpful on here, and although I did quite a bit of my own research, you guys have been a great help in steering me in the right direction.
I've bought spares etc, because plan to to get everything together and then stop smoking the rollies, so I'm a bit paranoid about finding myself without some part or other and then going to the shop to buy more tobacco!
I've spent £75-£80 so far, so that leaves around £20 of my budget to get some liquids from LTecigs.

The Vamo came with everything you can see in the picture here : www.hightectrading.com/stainless-steel--v2-full-kit-with-free-pp-608-p.aspSo it has an atomiser (or cartomiser or clearomiser or tank - I don't know which it is, or what the difference between them is!) Anyway I've just bought two Bauway-306-LR-Atomiser and two drip tips. I also bought a Vision Vivi Nova V2.5 Kit (I thought I might as well have spares for everything and if I order it together then I save a bit on postage) Just the Liquids to buy now!

My Vamo has arrived already, less than 24hrs after ordering - problem is I have no liquids! Very happy with the service from the seller.
Anyway could anyone answer my last questions, so I can order the other stuff?:
"So just the drip tips and liquids to buy now. The 306 drip tips have been mentioned, as well as the need for a 306 atomiser. My understanding is that "306" is a size, and that the Vamo is 510? Also lots of talk about "bridged" or "bridgeless", "drip shields" and a whole load of other stuff I don't understand! Doesn't my Vamo kit already come with an atomiser? Don't I just need a 510 drip tip for that atomiser?
Also any recommendations for liquids? I'm looking for a tobacco "amberleaf" like flavour to try, and also a few other flavours - many people seem to like the menthol/blackcurrant/liquorice so thats already on my list."

Okay I've bought my Vamo from here: www.hightectrading.com/stainless-steel--v2-full-kit-with-free-pp-608-p.aspNot the greatest looking site, but it was the cheapest by quite a bit and it's covered by paypal protection too. I've also bought a couple of quality spare 18650 batteries. So just the drip tips and liquids to buy now. The 306 drip tips have been mentioned, as well as the need for a 306 atomiser. Okay so I plan to get the following:
Vamo v2 (Stainless Steel) Vision Vivi Nova V2.5 Kit 1 x 18650 Battery 2 x 18350 Batteries Charger 2 x 306 Drip tips
Does that cover everything? Do I need syringes to fill it or anything like that? I don't want to get the stuff and then find I still need something!
The reason I'm ordering one 18650 Battery and two 18350 Batteries, is that the 18650 should last me all day at home, and then the two smaller ones are backups and one can also be used when I go out by shortening the Vamo - is this right?
PS Thanks raw, I used to live in Southampton but now I live in Manchester.

Thanks, that looks to be a better deal and gives me a bit more flexibility. It does mean that I have to get my own atomisers though, sowhat should I go for? I've seen "drippers" "dual coils" "tanks" and alsorts of things mentioned but I don't really understand the difference. I presume a tank is for larger volumes, which will be great when I've decided what liquid I like, but initially I will be trying many different ones.
