MorganNo probs, mate. You'll find that most of the info you get on AAEC is spot on. I've found the place extremely useful over the last few months You asked about when to replace the clearo - another reason is a 'kinda burnt' taste, but.... Don't throw it out, clean it up with a denture tablet overnight, dry it out, possibly dry burn, and it'll be almost as good as new. ( Super-Shiny's Riva guide in the Tips 'n' Tricks board should help) If you link to the kit you got, we can see if you can rebuild it, or replace just the head - cheaper than replacing the whole clearo www.vapeescape.co.uk/Deluxe-Vaping-Kits/VE-Riva-1100-Deluxe-Kit/Vape-Escape-Riva-1100-Deluxe-Kit.htmlThanks mate, any info on this kit would be appreciated. Any extras I can buy for it?

I'm not stupid I'll give it a try, when I'm alone lol. What you gunna try - tartan paint? But HONESTLY mate, seriously, cub-scout honour, clean out the excess condensation from your clearo, via the drip tip - it will stop it getting in your mouth. I wish Super-Shiny was here - he's bound to have done a guide on it thaat he could link you to. I'll tag Chrissie, and she'll tell ya we're not blaggin' ya (& she's the boss-lady ) haha clearing out the excess condensation obviously. Everyone knows tartan paint is difficult to get hold of these days. When I get time, I'll read through all the stickies

Morgan - bet you went to the stores for some tartan paint as well But this time, Karma is telling the truth - clean it out with a bit of bog-roll, tissue, kitchen-roll, hankie, t-shirt, ear-picker, or whatever you can get down the hole to soak it up I'm not stupid I'll give it a try, when I'm alone lol.

Thanks all.
What are the first signs that a clearo needs replacing?

Roll up a wee bit tissue or loo roll and stick it down the drip tip to get rid of the condensation there to save it getting into your mouth Why do I get the feeling this is some kind of newbie joke? I'll never be fooled again, the long wait I asked for a few years ago was hard to shake off

It's not recommend to drink juice, no! You are obviously still alive, however What kind of clearo are you using? The one that came with the riva kit. That's all I know sorry, I'm a newbie I've been using it for about a week, Is it possible it could need replacing then?

Hey guys, Loving my riva 1100 with the menthol liquid, however, I’m having a slight problem at the moment. Occasionally, when I inhale, I end up with a small amount of the e-liquid on my tongue and lip. It wouldn’t be too much of a problem usually, but sometimes it’s enough for my tongue and lips to go numb for a few seconds. I’m at the stage now, where I often find myself chasing that occasional leak, it’s quite addictive. Is this normal and more importantly is it safe? By normal I mean the leak, not chasing the leak. If it isn’t safe, any tips to avoid this?

Hi morgan and welcome. if vapescape were quick enough for you why not stick with them and get 5mm sample bottles, i started that way and cant moan in any way they have a good range to chose from and i find them very quick/good service. Otherwise these are quite good if you would like to experiment. www.vapology.co.uk/Good luck in your decisions were al here to help. Ps. why pay inflated prices to keep a local shop alive when you can get great service without leaving the house No doubt I'll be ordering from vapeescape again, but if there's a local shop around here that will allow me to sample a few flavours, I'd be foolish not to check it out. Hello and MorganThere is a good shop in Canton that I have visited it's called Cig-E-Live and the address can be found here: www.qype.co.uk/place/2540151-Cigg-e-Live-CardiffYou can go in and try before you buy and the girls in there are very helpful, if you go in mention AAEC recommended you visit. Oooooooo, I like the idea of that try before you buy. Does this apply to the e-cigs or only the girls? I'll make sure I take a look ----- Sorry I couldn't reply earlier, the site wouldn't allow me to login for some reason. Anyway, thank you all for the welcome, happy vaping

Hello Morgan and welcome aboard. You won't go wrong with the Riva 1100, I have had mine for 8 moths and still use it every day. I couldn't comment on any shops in Cardiff, but would be grateful if you could pop to Caerphilly and give my ex mrs a kicking There is a great list of Vendors with discount codes for your online purchases. I have used about half of them and had only good things to say. Have fun looking around the forum and if you have any questions just ask. Haha, is she a Caerphilly girl? If so, no can do mate. I've taken one beating too many from them

Hey guys, a vaping noob here. Great forum by the way Well here goes. Five years ago I started out as a casual smoker, sneaking out for a few puffs with a pint on the weekend with mates, but it quickly developed into a daily habit where I was smoking around five a day. This continued for three years until I upped it to 10 a day (hardcore). Thankfully, this was as extreme as it got for me before realising what a smelly bastard I had become - It was time to quit. My first attempt lasted two days and my second a slightly better three days. I then tried the nicorette chewing gums & patches which had the same effect as a few wrigleys extras and a plaster, before quickly reverting back to my 10 a day habit. Just before the acceptance had kicked in that I would never be able to give up the stinkies, I received a delightful email. It was an electronic cigarette offer from Groupon. Being from Wales, I was unaware vaping existed, but not one to miss out on a deal, I purchased the VIP electronic cigarette without knowing anything about vaping. It came with one battery, 10 cartomisers and one USB charger. It wasn’t great, but unbelievably after using it for a month, during that time I only had one cigarette. Puffing away on my last cartomiser, I had to decide whether to purchase the extra cartomisers or carry out some research to see if this could be bettered? This led me here. Oh boy, I was out of my depth. It was like the time I had accidentally selected ‘Welsh’ on one of the local cash machines. I didn’t have a clue what any of you were talking about, however I did notice the positive comments about the ‘riva 1100 kit’. On Sunday I took the plunge and ordered the riva and 30ml of menthol eliquid from vapeescape, using the discount code provided by the forum of course. It arrived this morning and I must say I’m very impressed. Easy to setup and use, great menthol flavour and it looks the bees knees. Obviously I’d like to experiment with all sorts of flavours. Any recommendations? Best places to buy eliquid? Any shops in the Cardiff area? That’ll do for now
