melitahams, @freefromsmoking, kailey, Hi, would any of you be interested in selling me one of your redundant bases at all? I'm not bothered if it's plated brass or otherwise, it's just that on mine one of the deck screws is stuck fast in the post and the other I unscrewed to far and can't get the blimmin in thing back in again! Senior moment, and I'm only forty four! Thanks I'm sorry poochops I don't have another spare base

melitahams I have ordered mine from Fasttech but they are quoting ships in 10 days. Vapour Break have it in stock now but it is dearer and you will be paying for postage. I have my micro coil around a 2mm drill bit and I have no problems with leaking or condensation ... I can't understand why you are having this problem. I have heard others are using cotton thread/cord so it should be OK ... let us know how it performs. kailey with a micro coil and cotton build I have no leaking problem with the Squape clone until it loses vacuum when the juice reaches below half full ... can it be that the original with the PMMA inner tank is also not completely airtight? The full stainless steel tank from C9V costs around £22 delivered and should be airtight ... I will let you know how it performs when I get it on Monday or Tuesday. But are the once from Fasttech SS the base ? or they are still sending them in plated ?

@freefromsmoking I did tried it but it tasted a little different maybe I have to boil it more with salt as what I have is a bit old but it vaped quite well and produce good clouds only the taste but not that weird maybe I was just a bit afraid. I did made a new coil now using a bit bigger than the 2 mm bit till now its ok will'll see if it continues better, guess or I was putting too much cotton or I'm placing the coil to up or too down? right now its parallel with the screws does this make any difference?

Still thinking whether I get it from FT or from VB thinkingsmileyThe only issue I still have with the Taifun is the condensation in the dip tip when using cotton. Guess I'm not making much cotton . I guess I will try to coil with a 2.5 mm drill bit next time.

I am really confused because I received the replacement base over the holidays but I am sure it looks the same as the original one they sent. I do not really want to scratch it. Is there any other way to tell if it is chrome plated? ??? Is it possible to check it with a magnet it suppose if it's good SS it won't get with the magnet

melitahams you will be delighted with this Taifun GT from Fasttech. Just check the deck area to ensure it is made from S/Steel, some have been supplied with chrome brass plated decks. (just scratch the deck, make sure no yellow colour appears). Enjoy it, but thoroughly clean it first before you set it up for use. I got one already from Vapur Break and its almost 2 weeks now I just ordered the SS tank to keep as spare but guess will order another one as I found it better than the Kayfun lite clone and the Ithaka clone could be that I will exchange the Ithaka clone to a Taifun if someone is interested

I never seem to get this condensation problem ... I always fire the coil for a second or two before and after taking a long slow draw to let the coil heat up properly and to burn off any excess juice ... I don't know if this is why I don't get the juice/condensation or what ever it is but this is the method that I was advised a long time ago and I never have this problem. Will try this as well then and see if I get it OK

I just made a new coil and I made it as what you @freefromsmoking made it and it worked well . I will now look to see if I can get a new Taifun Gt clear tank to put it on. Glad to hear that you had success with the micro coil and cotton build melitahams. What happened to your original clear tank section that you need a new one? Nothing till now but just in case something will happen as I really like the Taifun as it was better I get 2 of them the vape lot better and produce lot of clouds.
