@johanino, Whilst it is disconnected, why not fit these to the pipe work? It saves all the hassle of messing about with stopcocks in future.
Just a thought to make the removal in future of any machines, given your penchant for destroying mechanical devices.

As a matter of interest, where have you been getting your Ego batteries from? Genuine or good quality batteries should last about 300 charges (depending on usage etc.)
However if you have opted to use the "economy" path, then you have learned the first lesson of vaping

MVP and Vamo are great options both readily available from trusted UK vendors as posted. But if you are of a patient nature, you could order from China and save a couple of quid. But you must be prepared to wait a week or two for delivery.
